We stayed in a restored historic room bit box beds for the kids. It felt like a journey into Norway’s past. The host showed us his unique art collection which included Viking swords.

The self-service Wilhelmsen House offers central accommodation in Tønsberg. The property is a 5-minute walk to public transport. A fitness centre and free WiFi are also found at this stay. Very nice facilities, room and lobby. Only a 9 minute walk from the train station

Set a 20-minute walk from Larvik Train Station, Trudvang Gjestegaard offers free parking and rooms with free Wi-Fi access and a TV. Amfi Larvik Shopping Centre is 20 minutes’ walk away. The hotel has a bit older, nostalgic look to it, the dignified outside appearance says it's the roomier higher end option just outside the small city center. Breakfast is very good, the room amazing with a beautiful view and the staff couldn't be nicer.

Situated next to Sandefjord Harbour, this hotel offers free WiFi and free swimming pool access. Scandic Park Sandefjord is 10 minutes' walk from Sandefjord Train Station. Torp Airport is 7 km away. Everything was great: location, cleanliness, staff, room, just very good. The reception staff gave some coloring pencils and paper tot he kids because they had a lot of energy and just kept running around, which we appreciated a lot. Also the staff gave us some tips about the parking, which was again very helpful for us.

Hotel Kong Carl - Unike Hoteller is located in the coastal city of Sandefjord, 150 metres from Torget Square. It combines old world charm with modern conveniences such as free Wi-Fi. Really beautiful hotel with excellent breakfast. Parking on the site.

Dating back to 1914, this hotel is 3 minutes’ walk from Sandefjord Station. It offers free afternoon waffles with tea/coffee, a free evening buffet, plus free sauna and gym access. This hotel is so unique. It's not a modern building, however the staff is so amazing they make you feel at home. There is a very nice breakfast and dinner, moreover from 3-5pm you can have a cake with your tea in the lounge where tea is available for free 24/7. After exploring the area in winter it's really nice to come back to a cozy, warm room.

Situated about 5 minutes’ walk from Tønsberg Station, this central waterfront hotel offers free Wi-Fi and sea views. All rooms have a flat-screen cable TV. Everything about this place was excellent. It is in a great location, easy walking to everything in town. Be sure to check out the Whaling Museum (Slottsfjellsmuseet), just a few blocks away, with its many enormous whale skeletons and other exhibits on the history of the region. The hotel room was good size, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was terrific with a large variety of offerings. The hotel has an on-site underground garage for self parking. While the parking fee was expensive ( NOK 420 per night), it was extremely convenient. (It also looked like there were some other public lots across the street and in the neighborhood that may be less pricey, especially for longer stays) Overall we had a great stay and recommend the Hotel Klubben as an excellent choice in Tønsberg.

Situated at the Åsgårdstrand beach in eastern Norway, Grand Hotel Åsgårdstrand - Unike Hoteller offers striking views of the Oslo fjord. The hotel was exceptional, staff extremely friendly abd the breakfast was outstanding. We’re going back to Norway next year & have rebooked the Grand Hotek.
