Unique property with such a warm welcome. The host went out of her way to organise food and a taxi for us in the morning - even though the taxi office was closed. The freshly baked (still warm) bread at breakfast was outstanding. Good WiFi.

We spent 3 nights at Upperud 9:9 as a family and had a fantastic experience. The location is exceptional - right by the lake, calm and atmospheric. The accommodation is comfortable and full of character. Breakfast was good, and the dinner was truly excellent. The staff were attentive and kindly accommodated our special requests, which we greatly appreciated. Highly recommended for a relaxing and memorable stay

Situated by the Klarälven river, this eco-friendly hotel is 200 metres from Karlstad’s main street, Kungsgatan. Wi-Fi, gym, sauna and bike access is free. Nice Location and great breakfast.

Dating back to the 14th century, Ronnum Herrgård is housed in a manor at the southern point of Lake Vänern. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with a flat-screen TV. This was the property that we were most looking forward to during our visit to Sweden. We were not disappointed. The room was large and comfortable, with the separate bathroom and an added bonus of a sauna. We loved the vintage feel and the history of the place. Breakfast was an excellent spread, catering for all tastes. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our meal in the restaurant was exceptional. Free parking on site. We spent 3 days exploring the Halle-Hunneberg area. A very special experience.

This hotel dates back to the 19th century and enjoys a waterfront location. The Stora Torget square is within 100 metres, while Karlstad Central Station is a 5-minute walk away. Great Hotel at great location. Extremely friendly and helpful team. Parking, several restaurants and bars nearby (1-2 min walk). Breakfast was very good. If you like to visit Karlstad this Hotel is my recommendation.

Quietly situated in Lidköping's old town, this hotel is 350 metres from Lidköping Train Station. It features a restaurant and a smaller exercise room. Sauna access, WiFi and tea/coffee are all free. Easily best stay I've had in a while. The staff was extremely friendly. Great communication regarding breakfast and holiday hours. I travelled during Christmas and there was a little note and chocolate Santa Clause in my room waiting for me. The room was also nicely decorated with a very cosy feeling. The location was superb; walking distance to everything.

Breakfast, fika and dinner are always included when you stay at Home Hotel Drott. Home Hotel Drott lies directly opposite Karlstad Central Station. There is free sauna and hot tub access. Everything - location, staff, cleanliness, decor, and food. This was just a one night stop over for us and it was perfect from the minute we walked into the hotel & were greeted by staff. Our room rate included a dinner buffet and breakfast- both had items we appreciated. What a lovely stay!
