Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The place, the view, the onsen, the staff. Everything was amazing.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. The shuttle service from the ferry terminal, the private bath (free of charge) available for timeslot bookings, and the staff were all wonderful and exceptional. Amazing views. The private bath was a welcome amenity for us as we didn't realize it was something offered without extra charge. It has two showers and a bath with adjustable temperature (add hot or cold water to adjust).

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Excellent Service. Very flexible and always ready to help. Very nice place.

The Shiroyama Terrace Tsuyama Villa er með gufubað og heita laug, auk loftkældra gistirýma í Tsuyama, 200 metra frá Tsuyama Wonder-safninu. Beautiful! Nice room. Onsen was amazing. Dinner was delicious and the breakfast even better! Staff was exceptional.

Shokinkan er staðsett í Yasugi, 27 km frá Shinji-vatni, 29 km frá Lafcadio Hearn-minningarsafninu og 25 km frá Mizuki Shigeru-safninu. Shokinkan is a truly magical place operated by incredible people. Nestled in a gorgeous, ancient temple complex, the grounds are extremely fun to hike/explore during the day, with plenty of opportunities to learn about the history of the place through thoughtful signage and the wonderful staff. The food was absolutely delicious - we were eating a feast of unique foods specially prepared for us every evening and morning, which made the experience epic. Okami-san and everyone else here gregariously welcomed us with cups of beautiful matcha, and even shuttled us to and from Yasugi station and to the Adachi Museum of Art. I will never forget this place!

Suminoe Ryokan er staðsett í Onomichi, aðeins 25 km frá Oogamiyama Omoto-helgiskríninu og býður upp á gistirými með sjávarútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Beautiful Ryokan in an old traditional building with a, lovely garden, right next to the sea. I enjoyed my stay right from the start with the warm welcome at check-in (owner could speak some English - thank you). The room was like the photos promised, a cosy futon waiting for me (there was also a tasty lemon treat in the fridge). Although small, the bath was nice and I could relax after a day of cycling. Breakfast was also delicious. Next time, I'll book dinner as well.
