Parking in front, wifi working really well, owner welcoming us and explaining everything. The breakfast nearby was awesome (also owned by the same person). The place was really clean, modern and minimalistic and very quiet.

We arrived late on the day we checked in and they were super accommodating. I’ve travelled a lot around the world and I’ve never stayed in a place so beautiful. The room was spectacular: it was very large with divisions separating each room, super well maintained, very warm and comfortable as we were staying in the winter, huge private garden, and the private onsen was a highlight. The staff were lovely and kind. The Japanese breakfasts were delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone who comes to Kanazawa!

We loved our stay 2 night stay in the private Onsen suite. The kaiseki dinner and breakfasts were delicious and filling without making you uncomfortably full. The private Onsen and bath were fantastic and overlooked the gorge. It was so peaceful and so nice to get up in the morning and just sink in and soak while waiting for breakfast. The staff were amazingly friendly though be aware that English can be a bit difficult. It is Japan though so this isn’t a negative. The location was great, out of the way but a very easy, leas than 5 minute walk to the main town street and entrance to the gorge. 10 minutes walking you can get to the cozy and beautiful gorge cafe, we read books, ate cake, and drank tea there. Was fantastic for a relaxing visit.

Ryokan Yamamuro er staðsett í 5 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá JR Kanazawa-stöðinni og býður upp á herbergi í japönskum stíl með ókeypis WiFi. The hosts are great and very helpful. The hotel is super cozy and comfortable. We slept in a traditional room with tatami, which was quite big. You can use the common bathroom (hot tub) as a private one, which is also quite nice.

Boasting a 200-year history, Motoyu Ishiya features classic architecture, an original Noh stage and a garden. Meal service (both dinner and breakfast) was wonderful and an experience one would struggle to find elsewhere as a tourist in your typical restaurant. Staff were very mindful and their semi-broken English didn't hurt communication at all. Overall a very positive experience!
