Exceptional hotel with, great design, you feel the feeling of old Japanese houses, but the facilities are modern and comfortable as it combines the modern design of the buildings with the old design of Kyoto. The room is somewhat small and we were 3 people, but the room arrangement was excellent and we did not feel cramped. The staff and crew are very friendly and their treatment is high-end, as soon as we arrived, we were received and welcomed with old Japanese customs, tea was served, and good treatment and style. Since we are Muslims, they prepared breakfast, especially for us which does not contain any pork derivatives. They have a baggage shipping service from city to city. I would especially like to thank the employee (Hiorna Kumo) she was very cooperative.

Girls at the reception know English well, give plenty of information on the surrounding area, are very polite and accommodating. Room was spotless, and so are the other hotel facilities. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and exceptional hospitality. We enjoyed an exquisite 8-course Japanese dinner, featuring the freshest fish and beautifully presented dishes, followed by a delicious traditional Japanese breakfast the next morning. Sleeping in the traditional style, on comfortable floor mattresses, added to the authenticity and charm of the stay. The room was perfectly air-conditioned and overlooked a serene and beautifully maintained zen garden, offering a sense of peace and calm. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches—yukata robes provided for dinner and the onsen, as well as comfortable sleepwear. Thank you once again for such a wonderful and memorable stay. We hope to return one day!

Some units in the ryokan have private entrance and are equipped with wardrobe and tatami. Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. The interior and finish were amazing , the blend of Japanese and Scandinavian furnishings were so elegant. Staying at the traditional Japanese room gave us a true Japanese experience.
