Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. A dream stay!! We waited a long time to get a chance to stay here and it did not disappoint. Steeped in tradition. The service was too notch! The food is over the top. You must opt in for dinner as well to have the whole experience. I tried my first Onsen and went back a second day. They made me feel so comfortable. This experience and lovely place should be on all trips to Kyoto.... it's small so book well in advance. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us.

Some units in the ryokan have private entrance and are equipped with wardrobe and tatami. Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. The breakfast service was a highlight of our stay! The beautiful decor, authentic experience with the irori bbq made in front of you was incredible. Everything was delicious, with strong attention to detail giving you a humble luxury that feels typically Japanese. The room was simply gorgeous and the bed incredibly comfortable. The complementary items (late night soba, stocked fridge) made it even more special and intentional.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, 祇園の宿 杏花 is located in Kyoto, 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station and 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. Among the facilities at this property are full-day security and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan features family rooms. The Taisho era building in Gion was a great base for us, a party of 2. The hosts were very polite, they gave fair warning about the lack of soundproofing due to the building's age and materials used. The Hinoki bathtub was a bonus to the trip. Floor heating and ample temperature control were great for winter in Kyoto. The location is amazing, centrally accessible to all major areas, and walking 'home' is part of the experience. Our room had a kitchenette, which was also essential, we like cooking with local fresh ingredients. (Also the soba (buckwheat) pillows are a nice touch!)
