Shokinkan er staðsett í Yasugi, 27 km frá Shinji-vatni, 29 km frá Lafcadio Hearn-minningarsafninu og 25 km frá Mizuki Shigeru-safninu. The food was exceptional - very fresh, local, beautifully prepared and presented, a new menu every day. The location is superb, particularly with the autumn foliage. This is a classic ryokan in a temple complex in the hills. Surrounded by vegetation. Just very beautiful. And the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Ohashikan er í 5 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá JR Matsue-stöðinni og í 15 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Matsue-jo-kastalanum. Irish writer Lafcadio Hearn （Japanese name Yakumo Koizumi）used to staying here for several years. The hotel staffs are all kind and nice. The breakfast seems healthy and tastes good. The box for breakfast is printed some local words and you can learn some local languages from it. Our seats capture the beauty of Lake Shinji. It’s a very pleasant stay.

Showcase Hotel KASANE er staðsett í Arifuku Onsen-hverfinu í Gotsu, 13 km frá Gotsu City General Citizen Center Milky Way Hall og 41 km frá Nima-safninu. Þaðan er útsýni yfir kyrrláta götu. Everything was so chic and modern in a traditional area. It’s this new wave of Japanese accommodation that is very impressive. It’s a little pricey, but absolutely worth every cent in my opinion.

Nipponia Izumo Hirata Cotton Road er staðsett í Izumo, í innan við 1 km fjarlægð frá Atagoyama-garðinum og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og veitingastað. Having been to Izumo before and knowing it would not disappoint, I decided to take my family for another vacation in January. We stayed at Nipponia Izumo - Hirata Cotton Road for three nights. It is a former traditional sake brewery house converted into a kominka style hotel. Situated on a quiet historical sake and soy sauce business street, the hotel not only provided a unique home sweet home service but also amazing fine dining experience. Their in-house chef made each meal using local products to create feasts that delighted the senses. I highly recommend this hidden gem of an accommodation if you do visit Izumo.

Ryokan Nushiya er staðsett í fallegum skógum í vesturhluta Shimane. Það er í 250 ára gömlu hefðbundnu húsi sem er staðsett á Edo-tímabilinu og er staðsett í miðjum 10.000 fermetra einkagarði. This was our fourth trip to Japan and we've stayed in many ryokans. This is one of our favorites. The space we stayed at was huge. It was a two-story stand alone building. The seats looked out onto the courtyard with a pond and a lot of trees, which was very peaceful. I'm usually not the type to stay in my hotel/ryokan all day, but this place tempted me to do so due to the serenity of the courtyard. There were two private onsen that were easy to access due to the small number of guests that stay here. The food was fabulous. While walking around one morning I found a hiking trail that led up to castle ruins. The next morning I hiked up to the ruins and down the other side and came out near the Moss Land.

Enishinoyado Kitahori er staðsett í Matsue, 200 metra frá safninu Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, og býður upp á gistingu með ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, the food was among the best food we had on our entire japan trip. We traveled with one vegetarian and they were able to make great vegetarian food as well which we really appreciated! The inn was cozy and well managed and we had everything we needed. The location by the river and so close to Matsue Castle was also amazing. We can recommend this inn and Matsue city to everyone interested in seeing a different japan!

Hoshi Ryokan býður upp á einföld gistirými í japönskum stíl með flatskjá. Gestir geta farið í japanska Yukata-sloppa og upplifað gerð bambus og handverks, ef óskað er eftir því við bókun. Excellent hosts Good food and large and confortable room As it was raining they took us by car to the station which was very close 100 meters !

Saginoyusou er í aðeins 15 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá Yasugi-stöðinni og býður upp á afslappandi hveraböð undir berum himni með útsýni yfir fjöllin í Shimane. My first 10 rating. Our room was fantastic, with a large sitting area, separate sleeping area with comfortable beds and private outdoor onsen. Staff were uniformly friendly, helpful and polite. Our meals were excellent and very filling. Each large window in our room looked out on different areas of an impeccably designed garden. We are already planning our next visit.

Senjoen býður upp á heitan pott og ókeypis einkabílastæði og er í innan við 15 km fjarlægð frá Gotsu City General Citizen Center Milky Way Hall og 42 km frá Nima Sand Museum. There is a beach near the hotel and friendly staff

Onsen Guest House Aobato no Su býður upp á gistirými í Matsue, nokkrum skrefum frá Tamatsukuri Onsen. Ókeypis WiFi er hvarvetna á gististaðnum. Ókeypis einkabílastæði eru í boði á staðnum. The room was cozy, comfortable and bigger than expected. I especially enjoyed the traditional elements and the garden view from the room. The onsen was very nice and I felt refreshed afterwards. The location was perfect for walking the length of the town. We fell in love with the charm of the magatama town. Beautiful at night and during the day. Natural foot baths ajoined to the river, cute cafes, delicious izakaya food, accessories and so many magatama that you will be enamored by. The history felt alive. I highly recommend this location to anyone!
