It is a cosy, family-run style, traditional guesthouse. The location is literally minutes away from the metro station. The staff is amiable and attentive. The room is simple but well-decorated. It is the traditional tatami style, which means you sleep directly on a mat placed on the floor. Very comfortable and good for your back. Breakfast is at an additional fee of 660 yen but it is worth it. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the love and care put into it.

Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. The staff at Edo Sakura were absolutely amazing, warm, welcoming, attentive, and helpful when needed! The Edo Sakura was the best part of our stay in Tokyo.

A 2-minute walk from Sendagi Subway Station, Japanese-style hotel Annex Katsutaro Ryokan features rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring and free Wi-Fi internet. Very close to two metro lines, good amenities and proximity to supermarkets. Good connection to Narita Airport via Skyliner train. Very calm neighbourhood.

Situated in the Asakusa area, Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu has a history of 70 years. The accommodation boasts a view of the Tokyo Skytree from its Hinoki wood bath. The host and the staff went above and beyond for me! They have helped me ship my luggage to the airport, they were very helpful, patient and friendly. The room was amazing, I slept so well there. And the baths… WOW! I would go back in a heartbeat!

Situated 200 metres from Choen-ji Temple, 寅ホテル 御徒町 TORA HOTEL Okachimachi in Tokyo features rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. It is set 300 metres from Tokaku-ji Temple and offers a lift. There is a lift so no need to worry about carrying luggage. The room is spacious for 4 people. Everything is available from TV to kitchen cabinet to sofa to 4 comfortable thick beds to washing machine. Location is near to train station and bus stop but oddly enough the place is quiet at night so you can have peaceful sleep. This is a gem!

Cyashitsu Ryokan asakusa er staðsett í Tókýó, 300 metra frá Asakusa Fuji-helgiskríninu og 7,5 km frá miðbænum. Boðið er upp á loftkæld gistirými með ókeypis WiFi og baðkari undir berum himni. Immaculately cared for with the kindest staff I have ever encountered. You immediately feel at home and taken care of with small touches like skincare in the bathrooms, to big things like the private roof onsen available for free reservation. Fabulous breakfast and we were on our honeymoon so they surprised us with a decorated dessert and Polaroid photo of us!! Over the top kindness that makes me recommend this hotel to everyone and can’t imagine visiting Japan again without staying here.

Tokyo inn Sakura An er staðsett í Tókýó, 200 metra frá Tokyo Origami-safninu og 600 metra frá Chiisanagarasunohonno-safninu og býður upp á ókeypis reiðhjól og útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu. The location of the property was perfect. Asakusa is our favourite ward, and it was so close to Skytree and the Asakusa station.

Situated in Tokyo, within 1.5 km of Sensoji Temple and 2.2 km of Tokyo Skytree, Ryokan Nakadaya offers accommodation with a shared lounge. Really good value place. The owner speaks english and he has a lot of recommendations for restaurants or just stuff to do in general. Definitely a good place to stay in tokyo.

Takanawa Hanakohro, a Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World is located in Tokyo, 2.3 km from Ebisu Garden Place. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Absolutely loved this place. The staff was incredibly kind, breakfast was great, and the beds were so comfy.
