Everything. The house is so well appointed and has everything needed. The Nespresso coffee machine and air con in the bedrooms were highlights. The sea at the back of the house has fish swimming within ankle deep water. Swimming in the Aquamarine water and snorkelling with shoals of tropical fish and friendly black tip sharks is something I’ll never forget. It was great to be able to buy food at the supermarket next door and cook some meals. The frozen French duck and frozen potatoes made for a glorious and quick meal, as did the salmon rillette and baguette. Joyous!!
Rangiroa Cottage is situated in Avatoru and offers a garden and a bar. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi.

Beautiful and peaceful location.
Excellent reception staff.
Good dive centre: Topdive in adjacent property on beach.
There isn't much to do but Dive and relax. The diving is amazing in the Tiputo Pass. We used The 6 Passengers and Top Dive and while the experiences were quite different, we enjoyed both. Top Dive is a small, quaint shop that we could walk to from Kia Ora and The 6 Passengers was a large operation with fantastic deck and nice facilities. They offer lunch between dives if you want to order. We booked 6 Dives in 2 days and expected different dives. What they don't tell you is that they go to the same dive site every time, but depending on the currents, it feels like completely different dives and didn't mind it. From lazy reef diving in the morning with eagle rays, sharks and lots of fish. to Super fast, slightly technical drift diving and swimming with Dolphins, Mantas and Napoleon Wrasse in the afternoons. We had too many underwater magical moments to list them all. If you are planning multiple days and expect different dive locations, you may want to research before committing so you aren't disappointed, but we didn't mind. Every dive seemed different.
The hotel was close to the airport and there was a small grocery store next door. However, there was only one dining option aside from the hotel restaurant/bar that was in walking distance (across the street).
We saw fish w/o even having to go into the water, though you could easily walk into the lagoon and snorkel off the small beach area from the hotel! You could see fish from the surface even when in the pool!
Overwater bungalow. Being able too jump in the ocean any time you wanted to.. the hotel grounds were beautifully kept. The view from the restaurant and bar were fabulous. The chef was really good.. the breakfast was varied and fresh. The little electric car they rented us to explore the island was fun. Excellent dive company next door who will pick you up for high octane tiputa pass dives several times per day.
A terrible location , smack bang in the middle of the island, 3km from either end and next to no shops or restaurants for miles. Only way around is hotel bicycles ,which have to be hired for $20 AUS per day (all other hotels, bicycles are free) as walking , particulary in the heat is not a good option. I would like to say i liked something about this property, but unfortunately i cant.
Beautiful location.
High quality and fairly priced restaurant [considering the usual price range in French Polynesia].
Our overwater bungalow was very spacious and had a wonderful view. There are no OW bungalows facing each other in this hotel which is great.
Five star stay, really (complimentary bottle of wine upon learning it was our honeymoon was a nice touch).
We were staying in a garden bungalow and enjoyed it a lot. It was clean, we had everything we needed and there was enough space. We also enjoyed the terrace with garden view. There is a nice reef in front of the hotel that is worth to explore. We saw many fish and in the evening we observed sharks from the jetty in front of the hotel.
it's the best hotel in the rangiroa island and everything is perfect, the staff are very good.
huge space of the room, and super clean.
Really appreciated the birthday cake for my child, after visiting the Rangiroa island, i realized how difficult it is to get a birthday cake, it's far beyond my expectation.
highly recommend it.
This place is beautiful, very comfortable and extremely well located.
I was in both of the high-end hotels on Rangiroa during my stay, and I felt that Rangiroa Cottage was just as nice. If you prefer the independence of staying in a home, then this is a far superior option. On top of that, it is much cheaper.

Beautiful, quiet spot not far from Avatoru village. Easy bike ride (provided by host) to good restaurants - Chez Rua, Antoinette and a pizza wagon. Super lovable dog and cat, Kahlua and Meme (see pics) on property. Tauhere has done an amazing job on the space and the grounds.
A luxurious, stunning hotel. The staff is great and welcoming. We stayed in a beach bungalow, clean and well maintained.
We also dived through the hotel's diving club. Although the dives are expensive, it is important to note that the equipment is excellent.
Great location, nice infinity pool with the sea view! Good breakfast and amazing restaurant for dinner! Food is really delicious. Very nice personnel, always try to help if you need something! Good snorkelling just nearby the Hotel's beach.
Very nice and clean hotel. We stayed at the beach villa which had separate living room area and large bathroom. The breakfast was amazing. Great selection of fruits and veggies. Also non dairy milk was available. Beautiful sunset!
Excellent hotel with an equally excellent restaurant on-site. I also spent a lot of times at my friends hotel, the Kia Ora, and we both agreed that the Maitai was nicer at half the price.
The hotel was clean, close to the airport, the staff are very polite, very nice and take care of the client. Good food at the restaurant! I highly recommend this hotel!
