The hotel is in a lovely old building with the quirkiest lift I've ever seen! The receptionist who greeted us with a big smile was so friendly and helpful directing us to the nearest parking and helping to take the cases up to our room. When we wanted to order a drink in the reception lobby she even rushed out to a sister hotel to gather some more drink options! The room was large and well furnished and the hotel was well situated just a few minutes walk from some very nice restaurants. Breakfast the next day was well laid out, attractive and plentiful.

Free off-road parking. Excellent location near the river
If it weren’t for Joan of Arc, Orléans may not have become the beautiful city it is today. The teenage heroine of France liberated the city during the Hundred Years War, a fact commemorated with a May festival and a statue of her on horseback in a large square (well, hexagon).
From Joan’s former house nearby, a road leads to Sainte-Croix Cathedral. Arriving from this direction, the cathedral appears somewhat overshadowed by terraced buildings, until you step out into its square and realise what an incredible structure it is.
To the north is the fine art museum and in the opposite direction are the shops, restaurants and bars of Rue de Bourgogne. Place du Châtelet houses more shops, overlooked by narrow half-timbered buildings. Just south, historic Georges V Bridge crosses the fast-flowing Loire River, connecting the historic centre with modern suburbs.
South of the river are the Parc des Expos and Zenith d’Orléans event centres, while further away is the Parc Floral de la Source – gardens centred on the source of the Loiret River. Even further south is the tranquil Sologne forest, while to the west the Loire passes many wonderful castles.
As well as Loire Valley accommodation, Booking.com offers luxury Orléans hotels, cheap B&Bs and apartments near the train station.

We were only in Orleans for one night after flying transatlantic into Paris. So we did not see much. We formed a positive impression though...the statue of Joan of Arc, the Cathedral, the shops and quaint, easily walkable historic district.

Orléans is a surprising small city, packed with history and home to Jeanne d’Arc. Beautiful city centre, very beautifully planned and executed urban redevelopment putting on focus historical features and yes the cathedral is just stunning. We stayed only a short overnight and were lucky to witness the late night light show pinned to the facade of the cathedral: just stunning. Beautiful pedestrian areas with medieval timber framed houses as well as glamorous arcades and squares. Will go back again!

From the U. S. and first time visiting France.
From the U. S. and first time visiting France. We were in Orleans for just one night. This hotel is in a great location to walk to the sights and pedestrian areas. The front desk staff were proactively helpful providing a map of the area and what is available.
The parking was in a courtyard and very safe. As extra bonus for this hotel, we asked for a bucket of ice and actually got a wine bucket with ice. I say this because at a hotel stay with different chain a couple nights prior we got a cereal bowl of ice.
Room was pristine and had AC. Temps have been about 80 and nights were not very cool to sleep at prior lodgings we were staying at.
Should we visit Orleans again we will stay at this hotel.
La Loge Arago is a great hotel, location was perfect for us to visit the city of Orléans and it was good value for money.
The staff was great too: upon arrival, we had a little issue with the door opening and spoke to the contact number, who helped us remotely on Christmas Day. And the man who helped us for the breakfast (I believe his name is Ali), was super friendly to chat to, and gave us some tips to visit Orléans! We really felt at home, I would recommend this place for a group of travellers.
This hotel is well placed for an overnight stopover travelling by road towards Calais as it is close to the A71 on outskirts of Orleans. There is nearby housing but it is also next to pleasant woodland, good for a stroll or run or walking your dog. The rooms are very comfortable and the restaurant is very good. We have stayed here 3 times this year: the menu has been substantially different each time and always varied and interesting.
An excellent little boutique hotel just off the main square in central Orleans.
The location is about as good as you are basically in the main part of the town.
The service provided by the three ladies I met working at the front desk was excellent.
They were all very helpful and with big smiles.
Good value stopover on our way home from the south of France, much more comfortable than the tiny rooms in the budget hotel we had stayed in on the way. Quiet neighbourhood apart from the children's playground over the road (but it was nice to hear kids out playing).
The hotel was conveniently located and a short walk from the centre of Orleans. The room was large, clean and the bed comfortable.
Secure parking for our car (for a fee) for 10 days enabled us to complete a circular cycle tour along The Loire
We had a room with a view into Loire river - in the Orleans old town! Such a superb spot - probably one of the best located hotels we have ever stayed in. Room was clean, cozy and quiet. Breakfast was great. Spa had even Finnish sauna.
This is our favourite Campanile on our journey down to SW France - and one of the few in a fairly rural setting . If you have a dog there are good walks and green space. Request a ground floor room if you do have a dog - much easier!
Great, private location. Nice neighborhood. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Great parking situation which is a huge plus in France if you have a car. Really charming house.
Great location with secure garage parking and a cute little balcony. Great value for our stopover en route to Southern France. David was very informative but not overbearing.
Our 2 night stay in orleans was a great location for a stop over on route to south of France. Was within walking distance of city center.
It had everything you needed.
Location is spectacular, literally 1 minute walk from the train station. The staff is very nice and the hotel décor is very pretty and old fashion, but also clean.
Hotel was lovely. Great decor, fabulous central location and helpful front desk staff who told us about the festival going on in Orléans during our stay.
