Close to the Skye Bridge in Kyleakin village, the Kings Arms dates back to the 1600s and has panoramic views across Kyle of Lochalsh to the mainland.

We had a great stopover for 1 night. We had dinner and breakfast, both of which were delicious. Dinner was a bit rushed as there were a coach load of tourists arriving.

A nice large bedroom and a big bathroom. The welcome from Donald and Seonaid was very friendly and they were attentive all through our stay. A lovely buffet breakfast with warm croissants! The home baking left for us was a nice touch. We had a fridge in the room which was helpful when you're travelling. Easy parking on site and a short walk into Broadford. Good location on Skye for exploring the south of the island.
Overlooking Bradford Bay, this luxury 4-star hotel is situated in the village of Broadford on the Isle of Skye. Established in 1611, Broadford Hotel is the original home of Drambuie whisky liqueur.

we arrived around 3pm on the Thursday, there was a note on the door to tell you where to go to pick up keys and that check in wasn't until 4pm. We went to see if there was a chance of checking in early but there was no one there. we went to see if the attatched bar/restaurant was open to get a drink but that didn't open until 4.30pm, we went to another nearby bar where we had a couple of drinks and a lovely chat with the barman. We went back again around 4.10pm and there was still no one there we were about to go out again when a lady appeared, she gave us our room key and slips for breakfast, we went tour room which was in the eaves of the house room was very small and cramped the tea and coffe tray was on a chair below the hangers for your clothes/coats which wasn't ideal. We went into the ajoined bar had a couple of drinks and had a look at the menu

The location was just for a stop over on our way to Falkirk.
The bed had seen better days as the springs had gone and were very uncomfortable and noisy with little movement. The floorboards also were very noisy from upstairs and when moving around the room.

Scenery was nice.
Scenery was nice. You definitely need a car as a lot of walking and also you are depending on transport, which is unreliable. No shops only the Coop. If you have no car you have to walk over two bridges and back to get food. A few restaurants.Didn’t realise how far the guest house from the station was. We walked it in bad weather and it took us nearly 40 mins. It was definitely an experience. It’s a day visit place or a base to drive to other places.

The shops do get overrun by tourists often so can be difficult to get basic needs when coachloads of people are trying to get trinkets and tatt. But the views from everywhere on this island are stunning, no matter where. Kyleakin is just the first of many on your journey round.
Conveniently located house, with very comfortable sleeping rooms, and all necessary facilities in the kitchen and living room. It is located nearby EV changing station (and it was working !!! - which can be rather rare in Isle of Skye), it allowed us to charge conveniently during evenings, and explore the Isle during days. I would definitely recommend this house to users of EV cars. Excellent authentic decoration of the house combined with all modern facilities allowed to feel like enjoying the past with convenience of today )))
The Strathspey is certainly within the top 3 accommodations I have stayed in during 30 years of frequent world travel. The hospitality is unparalleled, relaxed and incredibly professional all at once. I could not recommend this place more highly. Don’t miss a chance to stay here while on the Isle of Skye, and fit in a visit to Eilean Donan Castle and the village of Dornie while you’re at it!
Idyllic location for venturing on the Isle of Skye. A short walk from a historic castle ruin. The cottage was very roomy with ample facilities for families large and small. It boasts a fabulous view down to the little quay. There’s natural sounds at night with unspoilt night skies.
The apartment is spotlessly clean. It has everything you might require for a self catering stay , cooker, microwave, dishwasher washing machine and fridge. Plenty of parking space.
Easy to walk into kyleakin or over the skye bridge to Kyle.
The location was great for us since it is right at the edge of isle of skye, which made it easier when returning the next day. The complimentary breakfast at the restaurant was also good and helped us start the day with a full stomach ;)
I travelled with a friend by motorbike from Aberdeen. The hotel is situated in a scenic part of Skye. We were happy with the room and it was clean. Breakfast was included in the price and we thought it was good value for money.
The location was perfect for our trip. The hotel had an elevator. The room was fine and clean. It's good the hotel has a restaurant as the other local ones were either closed or a cafeteria in a hostel.
It was very clean, and a quiet place to stay, with some amazing sea views. The host was very warm and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back to stay here on our next visit to the Isle of Skye
Self contained cottage, spacious and very well presented. Open plan kitchen, nice bathroom and very comfortable double bed. Close to the bus stop to explore Skye further.
I would definitely recommand this place, ideal location when u visit Isle of Skye. Lovely large rooms and good collection of breakfast goodies provided! Kids loved it !
Perfect location for Isle of Skye & very friendly, clean and comfy. Perfect view in our family room. Free tea coffee & herbal tea was icing on the cake
