Communication from the hotel, the greeting on arrival, the bungalow fittings, cleanliness and facilities quality and condition. The amenities around the hotel were top notch and again quality. The food was beautifully presented and of an extremely high standard. Great breakfast each morning was a good variety and choice. The staff were friendly and courteous and could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Many thanks guys. If you are after a quiet, relaxing comfortable holiday/break we could not recommend the Hotel Botaniq enough. If you don't want to use a car then public transport is 150 metres away. Cannot recommend enough and look forward to returning.

The location was excellent. The price was brilliant
Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Mojacar is a medieval Moorish, town in the Spanish Province of Almería. This white-walled destination, which is situated on a rocky hillside at the foot of the Sierra de Cabrera, will surprise you with its natural beauty and unique architecture.
Rich in history and cultural heritage, Mojacar has been populated since the 2000 BC by Moors, Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians and Romans. Today, it is a maze of narrow streets with local shops, street markets and restaurants serving traditional dishes like the ancient 'gachas'.
Travellers can park their car and explore the old town of this beautiful resort on foot. Home to 17 km of Blue Flag sandy beaches like Granatilla, the Playa de los Genoveses and the Playa de Monsul, the modern part of this coastal resort is an ideal place to enjoy outdoor activities like swimming, sailing and surfing. Golf lovers can visit the 18-hole courses of the Marina Golf and Desert Springs.
Almería Airport is about 55 km from Mojacar and has flights to big cities like London, Brussels and Barcelona. Check the Booking.com deals and choose from a variety of hotels, apartments and guest houses in Mojacar or the nearby cities of Vera and Carboneras.

The hotel had fabulous views from our balcony & could see the sea. We loved Mojàcar great lot of pubs & eating places, prices fairly reasonable, just from our hotel it cost 10euur each way to get to the beach front . We will definitely return as it's just a hour & a half away from where we live , we were at the bottom of the old town very steep hills up to it but could have got a bus but we wanted to see everything & the old town is well worth a visit . Typically Spanish lovely shops & the people were very friendly it's really worth going their, but if you are in the beachfront definitely get the bus . Their is nothing not to like about Mojàcar it's such a beautiful place & so relaxing

Wonderful beaches with a good variety of gift shops and restaurants serving different types of food to suit most people. A visit to Pueblo Mojacar is a must. It is very pretty with its white houses, although it is very hilly. Some people might find it very tiring for walking around. However, the market there on Wednesday mornings is worth a visit and the bus service is brilliant - every half hour or there about. The local people we met in shops, etc, were all very pleasant.

We drove to where the old Mines are and there is a fabulous walkway along the cliff tops with breathtaking view and educational information points about the iron ore and how it was mined.
Teto's Bar is a very well known beach bar from the 60's and still has that hip sort of feel to it - serves fabulous authentic paella as well as other foods.
Went to Garucha (local buses go)to watch the fishermen bringing there catch into the market to sell and then ate in Garucha in a little gem of a restaurant and winery called Al Tikar (the menu del dia is excellent and inexpensive.
Very accessible promenade for daily excercise.
There are many other eateries like the modern Auraora restaurant just accross the road which we frequented a few times as they have two sports TV's playing at the bar.
The old town 'El Pueblo' is an enchanting white washed village in the hills, again the Urbanos de Mojacar will get you there and there is a bus stop just outside the hotel.

Beautiful lively seaside resort with plenty of good bars, restaurants and live music venues. Easy to get around using taxis or the local bus service.
The resort was much bigger than expected and provides fantastic facilities for families and young people but could pose problems for older, less mobile people due to it's size and many steps.

We stayed in Mojacar because we were revisiting all our old friends in the general area and it was the ideal base.
The restaurants are plentiful and very good quality.
Although we are not beach people they are excellent as is the promenade, very walkable.
There is an excellent bus service although we did not need it.
If you have a car drive down to the Cabo de Gata, our favourite place in Spain. Or visit the historical city of Almeria.
If you are a film buff then Almeria is the Spanish Hollywood. Three cowboy towns near Tabernas and a Cine Museum in Almeria City.

Although we were half board we lunched at various different eateries close to the hotel. The beach is probably the best in Mojacar and the walks are fantastic. Although we stayed at the quiet end of Mojacar there are busses and taxis if you do not have a car and are quite cheap. It has a good commericial centre with presents for home, goodies for you and very nice outdoor restaurants. Not too many children but in June and part of July the students arrive and can get a little noisy. Overall in my opinion Majacar is th place for me.
Arranged a short stay for our young Daughter and her boyfreind whilst we were on holiday with family who live in Spain.
They had a spacious room which was basic, but clean and with a wonderful sea view from their terrace.
Excellent location, good value for money with breakfast and dinner included.
They were not awake in time for breakfast and ate out at the miriad of sea front resteraunts, but they both plan to come back with friends for a proper holiday and will stay at this hotel.
The place overall felt delightfully casual. And there were some truly exceptional elements. The location on the edge of Mojacar pueblo, with all the quaint streets and tavernas right on the doorstep, made it a pleasure to walk out the door. We had an apartment with a wall of window looking out onto an expansive view of the valley below. And that terrace! A true delight to come home to and rest after a day's hiking in the Cabo de Gata. Who couldn't love the overall package?
Just a wonderful place in Mojacar! Easy self check in at the front door. Loved the view from our balcony overlooking the little square and the fresh air with a very clean room with TV, fridge, closet, toiletries, and comfy bed! Incredible rooftop terrace where breakfast was made and served by the owner at our table!! Delicious lattes and breakfast sandwiches, huge bowls of fruit and the view of the city below. Great memories. Would definitely come back and stay again!
Siting of the hotel was delightful, right on the beach, having breakfast basically on the beach, watching the sun come up and the waves crash onto the beach every morning was rather special.
Location was really good, at the quieter end of town which suited us. Staff all delightful ,especially the 2 young bar staff.
Breakfast was great ,cold or cooked and all done following Covid guidelines.
Spotlessly clean everywhere and the rooms cleaned to like new everyday!
the apartment was very clean and look like the pictures. it has an amazing terrace with sea view that is perfect for furry friends.
the kitchen has good ménage and all you need to start cooking.
they have washing machine and provide the soap
Pablo was very kind with us. the handling of the key is personal since there is a deposit of 200€ that you must provide in cash.
easy to arrive by car. For sure to repeat if we return to mojacar again
Location is great but the rooms are not very nice. We had a ground floor because other rooms have lots of stairs to negotiate. The windows were small so not much natural light in the room. The bedroom was awful. Kitchen not really equipped for self catering although it did have a fridge freezer, but there was a good buffet breakfast in the hotel
The view was spectacular and the location unbeatable. It is a rural house at the top of the village of Mojacar, so you will feel like you are in a castle. Do not expect luxurious or high end facilities, but rustic charm and historical beauty --hard to match the location and views! What a unique property Mirador del Castillo is! Worth it!
The room was quite spacious, with a good bathroom and lovely views from the balcony.
Staff were helpful.
Beds were comfortable
Free Parking was an added bonus as was the breakfast which was included in the price and quite substantial.
A good location right at the foot of the old town.
A very friendly family run hospederia. The hosts were extremely welcoming and the terrace was a local meeting place for village and visitors. It is situated in a beautiful hillside village only 5 minutes drive to the sea front with an amazing restaurant opposite.
Breakfast was not included as it was a pension rather than a hotel. The building was over 100 years old and in original condition with amazing features preserved. The balcony overlooked the townd and the ocean with the benefit of the rising sun.
The view is amazing. Right in the heart of Mojacar Pueblo but lovely and quiet. Everything was provided plus extras. The lady Adela was really good at explaining everything. It was dog friendly and our Spanish Water Dog, Jeffrey loved it too 😊
Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The entrance and common areas of the Hotel were attractive and looked very appealing. Parking was no problem in September, we parked in the outdoor area.
The hotel was in a fabulous location in the heart of this beautiful village, with exceptional views of the mountains. It was super clean and stylish. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel has been modernised and is now really
Comfy. Stayed here many times but is now a great experience. I was particularly impressed with the food and service in the new restaurant.
This is a great place to stay if you aim to visit the old village of Mojacar. After a long hot day of discovering the region, we enjoyed the swimming pool and the jacuzzi!
