Comfort and simplicity! The ideal place to stay if you are travelling by car, as it is located at the edge of San Jose. It features a car park within the premises. Originally a farm that starred in Spaghetti Westerns this 4-stat hotel has loads of personality. Its swimming pool is simple and cool, the reception staff is kind and helpful, breakfast is fine, you feel at home!

We liked the location, it was at the beginning of town, ATM across the road, grocery shop across the road & in walking distance to the beach & restaurants, parking was very good. Staff excellent.

This hostel is an incredible find. Guests are warmly welcomed by Joaquin (hopefully I didn't butcher his name). The hostel feels super inviting right from the start. Located on a dead-end street with free public parking nearby, it's incredibly convenient. Rooms and the terrace are both surprisingly spacious and well-equipped. Everything is sparkling clean too. The whole place has this cool maritime theme, like a big ship, which is quite charming. Location-wise, it can't be beat. Super close to all the amazing beaches but also shopping, dining and bar-hopping in the area. To top it off, they even have a delicious little breakfast with good coffee and fresh juices, even though it wasn't advertised anywhere. Considering the price, location, and overall experience, this place deserves a perfect 10/10. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable stay in San José.

Really lovely location
Quiet
Good local bars/restaurants even in November
Long beach to walk along
Quaint squares with children's playgrounds and bars etc
Easy to walk around, downhill to the beach, then flat rest of the way
Parking limited, but we didn't have a problem
Quite a lot of steps plus handrails, for better views
Nearest bar, downhill, was excellent

San Jose is a great little town with lots of bars and restaurants and shops. It is perfect for families looki kg to get away for the weekend and close to their beautiful towns. The beach is nice (it’s not the most beautiful or famous but it’s a beach with showers and toilets) . We love coming here

Small Mediterranean coastal town in the Cabo de Gata National Park. Very attractive location with beautiful beaches and good bars and restaurants. However, we have only visited the town out of season (usually over Christmas) when it is very quiet, but by no means dead. It is a different story in mid summer when it is absolutely teeming with holiday makers

San Jose (out of season, as we've not visited in summer) is...
San Jose (out of season, as we've not visited in summer) is a delightful, low rise, old-fashioned looking place yet with some great (modern) restaurants, bars and cafes. I hope it remains as under developed as it is as it is a total gem on this built up coast. The Cabo de Gata natural park is simply stunning - if you have a car and drive 15 minutes west to the beaches out of town, you will be rewarded with long stretches of almost empty beaches (again out of season) backed by stunning agave plants and rock formations. truly unique and beautiful - long may it continue as a relatively unspoiled beauty spot.

We love San Jose. It's just gorgeous.
We love San Jose. It's just gorgeous. The only down side is that it's not easy to get to nearby places by public transport. It's easy enough to get from Almeria to San Jose though abd tge buses are comfy and reliable. Check out Bar Monsul. Great fun and good value for money. Lovely beaches but too cold in November for us to go in the water.

This resort is quiet
It suited us as we are a mature couple
It is more expensive to eat out than surrounding areas however there are excellent restaurants in the resort
We had dinner in Casa Pepe which needs to be prebooked
By the harbour there are good seafood restaurants
This hotel is a clean calm and relaxing spot to enjoy the beautiful Cabo de Gata region. The amenities and rooms are maintained in perfect conditions with a luxurious and elegant style. The staff keeps everything extra clean. The rooms stay well isolated from outside noise and this allows you to have full rest at night. The rooftop pool and terrace let you enjoy fantastic sunsets. On top of this, the hotel is family-owned and the staff makes you feel like home during the entire stay. This became my new favorite spot in Cabo de Gata.
We stayed there for four nights and really enjoyed our stay. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. The staff is very friendly and helpful, e.g. with tipps where to go or where to eat. The hotel itself is decorated with love, very picturesque. We had a Superior Room with own Rooftop terrace, it was clean and spacious and also very nice decorated.
The breakfast was very good, too, absolutely recommendable. We would definetly go there again.
Pleasant & helpful check in.
Quality bedding in a lovely room with a small fridge/mini bar, safety deposit box & nice balcony. Rooms cleaned & replenished every day.
Great location, few minutes from the beach and centre of San Jose and the bus if you want to go to the Cabo de Gata beaches.
Lovely choice at breakfast, good quality hot and cold food and freshly made coffee.
Free private parking right opposite property.
Beautiful property, amazing hospitality, walkable location to the local shops & restaurants & parking available! Many beaches are a quick drive out of the town, although the beach in San José is nice too. Comfortable bed, soundproof rooms. Highly recommend. Also the breakfast for 7€ was well worth it. San José is the highlight of Cabo de Gata & of Spain.
The pool was fabulous and the rooms were large and beautiful with a nice little terrace to relax on. The children loved the little playground. It was spacious and the views were great. It was on the outskirts of San José so it was peaceful yet it was a very easy walk into town and to the beach. Only a 30 minute drive to Almeria airport.
Room was with conditioner, small balcony and minifridge. Brekfast was included - for the one time it is good enaugh, however I expect more variable set especially if stay for more days. The Swimming pool is also great addition. Beach is in 10 mins walk. Nice hotel for the shot stay.
Everything very comfortable, great views of San Jose from the balconies. Great location on the sunny side of the bay in winter and five minutes walk to marina and town as long as you can handle to steps. There are a lot of steps but we are in our sixties and enjoyed the exercise!
Great location in San Jose, a short walk from the beach and other amenities. Comfortable, clean rooms and a nice patio and terrace area. The bar is also a great thing to have although it is cash only. Overall, a great place to stay in San Jose.
Beautiful view of San José bay from the balcony. Good comfy beds and plenty of space to store your things. A cook’s knife that cuts would have been a bonus. The location of the apartments a short walk away from Genoveses beach makes it perfect.
Great hotel with lovely views of the sea from our terrace. Easy stroll into town. Room was great size and we enjoyed sitting out in the evening. Tasty breakfast and friendly staff. Amazing having a pool after a hot day out!
The most amazing view in all San Jose. From both the rooms and the common areas, simply stunning. You can see the stars at night and the sunrise is just magic.
The family room was huge and the bed super comfortable.
The room was great with an amazing view of the ocean and marina. It's a short walk to San Jose Beach and restaurants, shops, etc. The staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
I can't imagine a better place to stay in San Jose. The location in perfect, the apartments are spacious, bright and super ventilated. Carolina and Vanessa are lovely people, very kind, friendly and helpful.
Amazing comfortable mattresses and pillows, I slept better there than at home.
It was always super clean and the staff (especially the cleaning one) was super friendly.
Would repeat in San José.
Great location in quiet street. Clean spacious rooms. Easy to park a car in the street next to the hotel. Comfortable bed. Complementary breakfast was a pleasant surprise!
Central location in San Jose, great value for money, (my) room with a small balcony, aircon, TV, small fridge.
Very friendly staff, speak english if needed.
