Rabat is very impressive, so clean and welcoming. We stayed in the medina which was a very different experience compared to Marrakech. It was quieter in the evening, calmer and still great to shop. Definitely more locals and great stalls, friendly services. Our sightseeing was great even if our time was limited, the gardens and parks were immaculately looked after. The mixture of old and new, the ocean and old city and ancient history makes it a very great place to visit.
Just be aware however that dining in the medina ends early and it is probably best to head downtown if you want to find a restaurant later at night.

Rabat is the capital of Morocco.
Rabat is the capital of Morocco. The streets and Medina of Rabat are much wider and cleaner. The Kasbah is not so clean but still a good place to visit. One night / 2 days in Rabat is good enough time to see everything around.

Rabat is interesting for a day.
Rabat is interesting for a day. The main sight is the Kasbah which is free to enter. You DO NOT need a guide and it IS NOT about to close, despite what all the touts try to tell you. Walking around the medina is interesting and safe.

Not a fan of Rabat, it was cleaner than the other cities we visited but there was not much to do other than the Medina and the tourist places to visit. I enjoyed Marrakech and Fez. If I go back to Morocco I would skip Rabat.

Is small city , specifically the medina is the best part, just like you are back in old time, the narrow street and people live their is the same as in Pakistan culture old city Lahore they have the same style of old houses, but Rabat is quite and small ,Lahore is 2 nhs largest city of Pakistan , population of nearly 170 million , they also preserved the old city just like medina in rabat

I would recommend Rabat. It is a very modern city.
I would recommend Rabat. It is a very modern city.
The city is extraordinarily clean and very safe.
Every person we met was kind, funny and charismatic.
The medina is the highlight and absolutely incredible.
Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum are great as well.
Walking along the "river" is recommended as well, as there are some restaurants to eat something sweet and enjoying the view.
Rabat isn't a typical capital. Rabat only has 500'000 inhabitants and it shows. Therefore, it's a rather quiet town, restaurants close early and there aren't too many.
I would recommend maximum a week, maybe less.
Taxis are very professional and can be used for transport. Cheap and without scammers.
If you are in Rabat, you have to visit Dar Naji. If you didn't eat there during your stay, you weren't in Rabat.
This Riad is a lovely oasis located in a quiet corner away from the hustle and bustle of the Rabat medina. We were welcomed with Moroccan mint tea in the open air courtyard. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, with air conditioning that provided a welcome respite from the June heat. We enjoyed the traditional Moroccan breakfast that was served in the courtyard. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Would recommend if you want an authentic experience in a Moroccan riad. Wi-Fi worked well.
The reception was incredibly hospitable, the breakfast had a decent amount of choice, all staff had smiles on their faces and the room I stayed in was well cleaned and ventilated. I recommend this hotel especially because of it’s location — 20 steps away from the main avenue, yet so peaceful, clean and accomodating. Definitely booking this when I’m back in Rabat!
We ended our 10 day Morocco trip at Dar Mounia and it was such a great stay! The location is perfect, across from the Kasbah, easy access to the beaches, medina. A quick 6 min drive from the train station. Best breakfast we had during our trip! Said and Rashida were lovely too! Great value for money and will definitely stay here again when visiting Rabat
The Staff are kind and helpful, especially Aldi ( manger) and Naima. Aldi gave me nuts and dried fruits while resting at the lobby after a very long walk. He even turned on the TV with English show for my entertainment.
Location: Inside the medina, but not at its main street, so it is quiet. Near major attractions and Rabat Ville Train Station.
Excellent location as it is right next to the famous kasba oudaya. The staff was very courteous. the view from the rooftop is breathtaking. The breakfast was also decent. the best part about this hotel is that they had water, coffee/tea maker long with complimentary snacks in the room. One of the best hotels during my stay in Morocco for sure.
Can’t fault this place. Great hostel, great facilities and great staff.
Without doubt the best breakfast I’ve had in Morocco. It’s a little bit outside the city centre, but I was aware of that when booking, so that’s not an issue.
What’s lost in location is made up for in breakfast.
I will be back. Mainly for the breakfast.
A very beautiful raid. Convenient location in the medina, also close to Rabat Ville train station (btw, if you’ll be taking a train know there are 2 train stations - Rabat Agdal and Rabat Ville).
Staff was very friendly and helpful (a gentleman working there arranged my taxi at 4:30 am in the morning, so I’m very grateful).
The staff was very friendly and concerned about our well being.
Straight after check-in tea and water were offered.
Good recommendation for dinner and very helpful to plan our trip in Rabat.
It was also asked at which time we want to have breakfast. Breakfast was classic maroccan style.
one of the most beautiful Riads I‘ve been to in Morocco.
rooftop pool is quite unique and something you don’t find elsewhere in the Medina of Rabat.
staff was more than friendly - the house- own restaurant served traditional Moroccan dishes, just delicious.
highly recommended.
I enjoyed the comfortable stay at Smarts Hotel during my 2-night visit to Rabat. The room was well-appointed, and the staff provided excellent service. The location was convenient, allowing easy exploration of the city. Overall, a positive experience.
Very nice owner, he greeted us with good local tea :) It was the best during our stay in the Marocco. Interesting design of riad, egzotic, near the square, in the middle of medina in Rabat. It was nice, unforgettable time.
This is really authentic accommodation to stay in Rabat, especially to my mind there is not to much fun in the city. One of the best bathrooms I tried so far in Morocco 😅 Well served breakfast right on the terrace
This is by far the best hotel in Rabat. The location is perfect and the staff very kind and generous. Breakfast was delicious and a real delight. We felt very lucky to stay here during our time in Rabat.
Cozy hotel very close to the medina of Rabat. The roms are big with comfortable beds. There are some good local food places down the road. The staff is friendly and helpful.
