The stay at Mindo Bird Lodge was excellent. The room may not have been 5 star, but it was comfortable and close to the action. The birds are all around. you can sit under cover and have birds fly right by you. Thev private waterfall is incedible - you feel like you are the only one to have ever been there. Such a great place.

So good we stayed twice. Ignore the doom-mongers, Ecuador is still a safe country (except for Guayaquil).

Huge room, comfy bed. Good kitchen facilities. Loved the hammocks and relaxed balcony area. About 15 min walk to town. But the road is used by cars/bikes and ATVs going to tourist areas

This property is absolutely beautiful. A few minutes walk from town, the common area and rooms are stunning and we felt so relaxed and well taken care of during our stay. Margarit and her staff were all so lovely and helpful with making recommendations and booking tours/taxis. The breakfast was delicious, our favourite of the trip so far.

Right in front of Mindo River, Mindo Garden Lodge and Wildlife Reserve features a big garden, a pizza restaurant and a bar. It offers rooms with private bathrooms only 4 km from Mindo Central Park.

This is a lovely place to stay a few kms outside of Mindo, beside the river surrounded by forest. We were in Mindo bird watching so enjoyed the feeders. The staff were great - very helpful and attentive to our needs and very friendly. The food was tasty and fresh and the kitchen kindly provided us with breakfast to take away when we were leaving early.
