We stayed in the La Maison rooms, which are a short walk from the main hotel. The hotel in perfectly located near Place D' Quebec for D-day and Mont St. Michel tour meeting place. The breakfast was standard European hotel breakfast, nothing special. It was warm and plentiful. The coffee from a machine was good, not great. We arrived before our room was ready so they kept our luggage in reception, and it was in out room when we checked in. Thank You.

Host or concierge did not show up with key. Had difficulty finding which unit it was and only deduced it by looking at several photos. Cheap furnishings. Cleaning materials inside shower. Patio/terrace unusable and unsafe.

I am trying to update my review of La Cour Royale but the site is not letting me. I answered no breakfast - this was an answer to a Booking.com question and not a put down on the accommodation - it was a flat and I did not expect breakfast. I also put a rating of 5 out of ten for staff because this was a flat and I didn’t expect staff! I hope this clears this up. It was an excellent place to stay and would like to again.

The city is beautiful and easy to get around in by foot. We enjoyed seeing the Cathedral and The Tapestry as well as a couple restaurants and an awesome pastry shop.
Taxi service is limited (allow plenty of time to await a taxi). Uber service did not exist.

Bayeux is a lovely town and very central to all of the D Day beaches and many other interesting places related to WW2.
The town is not too big so a lot can be seen in a reasonable space of time.
The British memorial cemetery there is one of the most poignant I visited.

Our tour of the D. day beaches was very interesting and moving. The Norte Dame Cathedral de Bayeux was a highlight of the city as well as the tour of the Tapestry. Restaurants were all outstanding. We would love to go back.
The quiet hotel is located in the centre of Bayeux and well equipped. Easy to reach by car, cathedral and tapestry museum within walking distance. Free parking available just some 100 m away. A good base camp for exploring Normandy, especially if you're doing it by bicycle or motorbike, as it offers a possibility to bring in your "trusty steed".
There was a slight issue with the internet connection, which the proprietor fixed immediately. She was very welcoming and friendly and offered good advice on things to see and do.
This hotel was very close to everything, easy walk to town. Beautiful house with lovely traditional features. Clean and comfortable room with a balcony and view to the cathedral. Parking was across the street in a car park but the host gave you a ticket so no fee for it. The room was a good size with a comfy bed and pillows. Tea and coffee was available in the room which is a bonus on France. The host is very friendly and helpful and can understand English which is always a bonus. Breakfast was traditional french.
Absolutely superb location just around the corner from the Battle of Normandy museum and a stones's throw from the cathedral.
The team have made an excellent job in converting the former school buildings into a really comfortable venue.
The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept in in France.
Easy access and parking.
Lovely breakfast.
The host spoke perfect and fluent English.

The location of the property was centrally located in Bayeux and quiet from street noise. There was parking for the unit in a courtyard and this made it easy for us to leave on time each morning for our Normandy tours. Staying in Bayeux is great for touring the Normandy battlefields.
Original property was unavailable when we arrived due to remodelling of the bathroom so we were offered two rooms at nearby Le Belle Normandy Hotel apparently owned by the same people. A little disappointing as we never got to see inside the house we had booked.
Room was very quiet; location was very tranquil; loved on site parking; breakfast was decent but no hot meat (ie sausages); room had a kettle and was roomy; great location easy to access the roads to explore Normandy; short 10 minute walk to downtown Bayeux
staff was very helpful - the facility and rooms were clean — great breakfast — close to everything in Bayeux (train station/cathedral/restaurants). Easy day tours to St Michel and Normandy beaches. had 20 year calvados in the bar😀
Amazing, authentic house with a beautiful garden in the centre of Bayeux., Exceptional hosts, wonderfull breakfast. Couldn't have picked a better place to end our trip of Normandy. Will definitely be returning one day.
I stayed at this hotel for only two of four days because a severe storm knocked out the power and I had to leave.
But otherwise it was a good budget hotel, about 5kms from Bayeux, convenient if you have a car.
Very nice b&b in a very quiet neighborhood. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Great location close to the d-day beaches and cemeteries. The Normandy d-day museum in Bayeux was very informative.
room and bathroom were big and clean. hotel position was perfect. staff friendly and professional. breakfast was delicious. i will suggest this hotel to anyone who will get to Normandy
