The location was perfect—centrally located, yet quiet enough for a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. Excellent location. Less that a 2 min walk to old market. We stayed in setti sharm on 4th June for 2 weeks. What an amazing hotel, staff very kind, friendly and helpfull. Hotel and grounds are very well kept and very clean. Good food and drinks. Brilliant beach and pool. Lots of activities with the animation team. Would highly recommend. Will return soon

Year-Round Sun and Fun

Set against the backdrop of desert and mountains, Sharm el Sheikh is a year-round Red Sea diving and beach resort. Although based on an existing village, it is very much a purpose-built holiday town, with lots of international brands of hotel, restaurant and bar lining its sandy shores.

The oldest part surrounds the Old Market, a heady mix of shisha and spices, roughly in the middle of the Naama Bay and Um el Sid suburbs. The other Sharm districts of Shark’s Bay and Nabq Bay are along the coast by Sharm el Sheikh Airport.

The Red Sea offers some of the world’s best dive spots with rich underwater life on the deep reefs of the amazing Ras Mohammed National Park. Other watersports include windsurfing, kayaking or banana boating, and the Cleopark waterpark has flumes, pools and rapids.

Other things to do include shopping at Il Mercato mall and the many souvenir stalls, karting at Ghibli Raceway, or watching a show at the Arabian-styled Alf Leila Wa Leila. Outside town you can go horse or camel riding in the desert, and visit a Bedouin village or St Catherine’s Monastery in the Sinai peninsula hills.

    Sharm El Sheikh has the nice blend of desert, beach, sea, history and modern. The resorts are clustered together near the airport, making it easy to get to your accommodation when you land. A few minutes walk to the beach area gives you access to the red sea and its vast coral life thats perfect for scuba diving. You can also drive into the old town / district to experience an authentic Egyptian daily life. Finally, you can also explore the Bedouin Villages with ATVs through the mountainous desert.

    Sharm El Sheik is a great seaside resort town. There are a number of resorts and all are pretty new and modern. We were a fair way from the 'old town', so didn't leave the resort much, but didn't need to, as the resort had it all. We did a great boat tour snorkelling at Ras Mohamed National Park which was spectacular. This tour also catered for diving.

    I love hot and dry countries, Wherever the sun is, I could stay for a very long time. Sharm El-Sheikh itself is maybe not as rich in culture as other Egyptian cities but it has its very own charm and something relaxed about it - which I would not per se say about Alexandria or Hurghada for example. I loved that the people are so used to tourists, that you don't feel unproprietly dressed as a woman if you wear shorter clothes or even crochet stuff over bikinis and so on. I felt very safe, relaxed and happy in Sharm El-Sheikh ☺️

    It’s very fun if you stay at the right hotel, in Sharm all...

    It’s very fun if you stay at the right hotel, in Sharm all the shops and centers starts opening by 17:00 and closes 01:00-03:00 night, so that the time you gonna spend outside. You are going to spend the rest of the time in the hotel ( when you wake up until 17:00 ). I’d recommend to use an app called inDrive (it’s just like Uber with very fair prices), otherwise you’ll get scammed by the taxis. Book your activities like diving, parachute, yacht trips, quad bike (safari) through booking.com. Keep in mind that food is very cheap outside (just make sure it’s a clean place and you don’t get scammed).

    The hotel has a 5 star luxury feel, the staff are all so welcoming, nothing is too much from the reception to the housekeeping all offer that exceptional service. The food was such a good verity and easy to access. 10/10 Animation team produced good shows for both adults and children. The hotel is spotless with such cosy rooms. we cannot wait to stay here again.

    Great position, the house reef and diving school are top notch. Nice spacious rooms, some a little dates but perfectly fine. All inclusive was great value. The food will not be to the liking of some Brits, but we are in small minority at this hotel, so catering is more for Egyption taste which is perfectly understandable.
