It is a beautiful city, small but with many things to do.
It is a beautiful city, small but with many things to do. You can stroll and get lost in its streets and always find a nice place to have a coffee or any snack. Food is amazing, you will enjoy delicious food in any place you decide to eat in. If you are lucky and have nice weather you can visit the local beach or travel to the country side where you will find beautiful and pristine beaches. I really recommend to visit A Coruña, specially during the summer you won't regret.

A Coruna is a beautiful city.
A Coruna is a beautiful city. Probably the best activity is walking. The coastline runs round the whole city, except for a narrow land bridge to the mainland, and all of it is designed with pedestrians, runners, cyclists in mind. There are two wonderful natural parkland areas at either end of the main bay. In terms of other things to see and do, the Tower of Hercules light house is a must, but there are plenty of other things to see in that area, such as an interesting modern 'Stonehenge' type monument and other art installations in the same area as well as a breathtaking cliff top walk. Other attractions include the aquarium - make sure you find the nautilus room - not too well sign posted, but worth finding to be totally surrounded by fish and small sharks. Picasso's house is interesting (and free) as is the Military museum and the Museum of fine art - both free. And Castelo de Santo Anton is well worth a visit. Just enjoy strolling around the Calle Real and Maria Pita square - with plenty of cafes and bars to stop for a beer or coffee. If you aren't used to the culture, most of the bars/cafes will give you a small taste of cake with your tea/coffee or a small savoury tapas with your beer/wine, so you can snack your way around the town for many happy hours! However, don't expect to eat an evening meal before 8pm and if you eat at at 8pm you might be the only people doing so!

A Coruna is a city that truly captures the essence of Spanish charm and gastronomy. The cuisine here is nothing short of spectacular, especially the roasted octopus paired with sweet potato puree - a delightful fusion of flavors. Pair it with the local wine and tapas, and you're in for an authentic Spanish culinary journey. The city itself is impeccably clean, beckoning visitors to take leisurely strolls along its pristine beaches. I was fortunate enough to experience an unusually warm spell, with temperatures soaring above 25°C, which, as I've been told, is a rare treat. The inhabitants of A Coruna radiate warmth and courtesy, making one yearn for a return visit the following year. And when it comes to value, A Coruna's prices are significantly lower than cities like Madrid, Malaga, or Barcelona, yet its culinary quality surpasses any city I've visited in Spain. Culinary tourism is undoubtedly the forte of the entire Galician region, and A Coruna proudly stands as a testament to this tradition.

A Coruna and the surrounding area is very beautiful.
A Coruna and the surrounding area is very beautiful. Easy day trips to other coastal cities such as Carino are possible. The area is very green and scenic. Autumn is a lovely time to visit as the crowds are low and the highways are less busy. Loved touring through the countryside. Day trips are made complete as many restaurants and cafes are still open for business.
Perfect location. After a few days, I walked around the city (25 minutes walk) and I’m glad I stayed where I stayed. It’s near to Old Town, Passeig Maritime and there are lot more character in the area around the hotel with great bars and restaurants. The receptionists were very friendly. And if you want something to remind you of your visit, in front of the hotel is an old theater. In the afternoons, there is an excellent guy Cesar who sells very good black and white photos of A Coruña. Even the hotel has his photos.
Very central location for a walking holiday around the city. Housekeeping was impeccable, the whole hotel looked newly decorated so well was it looked after. A varied menu of reasonably priced food only added to our enjoyment. However the most important aspect to us were the people, nothing was to much trouble and despite our lack of the Spanish language, everyone from front office, housekeeping and catering were eager to assist.
One more thing to say, we're already booked for next year, but for an extra week.
The hotel is very affordable, the room was nice and tidy with a comfy bed, a cool bed-wide pillow and it wasn't too noisy - I could sleep easily without my ear plugs. I loved an additional light above the mirror in the bathroom - perfect for doing make up. They are cleaning the rooms every day. There is enough space in the room. Friendly and helping receptionist. The bus stop is just in front of the entrance.
This cosy boutique hotel has everything you may need for a great stay without spending crazy money. The roomes were decorated to our taste, they had a fantastic bath to enjoy on the bedroom itself and the toilet facilities and products were great quality. The breakfast was amazing, the coffee was made to order (not from a machine) and the food was very tasty. Fantastic staff 10/10!
Lovely listed building in La Coruña “old town”. surrounded by similar beautiful buildings in cobbled streets. The apartment was beautifully decorated with modern functional furniture and accessories. Maria, our host was always available for any needs and left enough food in the fridge so we didn’t have to rush to the shops the first day.
Everything was fantastic, starting from the strategical location and the beautifully restored building to the tastefully decorated apartments and super-friendly staff... Looking forward coming back! By the way, A Coruña is a fantastic city, a hidden gem to explore before overtourism spoils it!
Great location- walking distance to all key locations in A Coruña ( we watched free bands every night in nearby square at the festa Maria Pita). Smart apartment with nice kitchen but unfortunately not as many utensils for easy self catering
The location is great!
Cristina was absolutely the best. We had booked a room thru Booking.com who didn't tell the hotel we wanted 2 beds. She solved the problem in no time. I will always stay at this hotel. it's the best!!!
location it’s very centrally located and it was walkable to most monuments I wanted to visit , also clean airy I can open windows and get fresh air, it worked perfect for my trip and if I go back to A Coruna I’ll stay there.
nice hotel located in a very convenient area, close to the touristic areas of A Coruna. parking facilitated by the hotel with the entrance right nearby, for a fee, but otherwise it's impossible to park in the city.
Nice condo. Nothing but what you would find in a hotel room. Not even a pinch of salt. A bit different from other units we’ve stayed. Clean, great location, bright and sunny. Convenient parking location
I WOULD EXPECT THE RECEPTION TO ASK IF WE WANTED TO UPGRADE OUR ROOM FOR ONLY 10 EUROS BECAUSE, WITHOUT KNOWING,THE ROOM WE HAD BOOKED WAS AN INTERIOR ONE AND WE LOST ALL THE NICE VIEW OF LA CORUNA!!
easy access (key lock), location very suitable for us, grocery shopping around the corner, easy access to A Coruna sights, host was available when technical problem with stove occured
I always stay at Hesperia when traveling to La Coruña and it's always great. Good location, facilities, nice breakfast, professional staff, great quality-price relationship
