It's very hot and humid.
It's very hot and humid. I'm from Washington so I'm not used to that. Plan lots of indoor activities if you go in the summer. The park by the zoo is incredible and so is the arboretum. I went to visit family but you could easily make a short vacation of it. Last time I went I stayed at the giraffe sanctuary in McGregor. It was so wonderful! The richland mall is nice and they have some good restaurants. They also have some beautiful homes to drive around and see. I'd totally take a trip here for vacation but in October instead of June. The water park is super cool as well. You can surf and water ski or float the lazy river. It's very nice and the people working there are great!Adamson - 8.0Scored 8.0

It is encouraging to see new businesses growing and expanding. While Magnolia may be the attraction that draws visitors, there’s so much more to explore. Some great new restaurants not just chain fast food, Even a distillery with a tour and tasting! Everyone was friendly throughout the city. Great weekend getaway!

I was there as a part of a bodyboarding group attending a two-day session at Waco Surf. The activity was great, and the barbecue dinner we had at Rudy's in Waco was also outstanding. Otherwise, I spent no time in Waco itself.

It was cold and wet. We were tired, hungry, and hadn't planned the stay. The first accommodation we stopped at was so pleasant and helpful, but they had no rooms. It was surrounded by eateries. The sweet cheerful lady helped us find another place to stay. Everyone else we met seemed as blase as we were. Must have been the weather. Maybe it was hunger. We were lacking places to eat close to the hotel.D - 4.0Scored 4.0

Easy access Employees were scatterbrained Breakfast was late Kitchen staff showed up late Had a family situation and had to leave early but staff refused to help with refund. There is nothing in Waco.
There is nothing in Waco. You can visit the Chip and Joanne things but cannot afford anything. You can visit the shops downtown and still cannot afford anything. Prices are too high and not much to do or see. Would not recommend going to Waco.AAnonymous

We had a graduation and had approximately 45 family members come into town and we enjoyed hanging out and dining at the restaurant and outside seating area. We took some family up to our room to check it out and they complimented of the spaciousness and and over all the uniquely interior design of this beautiful hotel. Anytime we called to ask for extra amenities, the staff had no problem accommodating us.

It is set on a lovely piece of property with fields of wildflowers. Adjoining and nearby properties have cattle and alpacas (llamas?) and the whole setting is just perfect for anyone who wants some time away from the hustle and bustle while still being very convenient to all things to do in Waco.
