We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The enormous swimming pool/s which weaved around the resort were great to explore and the waterslide was a huge hit with the kids. It was great having multiple restaurants onsite and the food was consistently good with enough options on the kid's menus. Kid's club had different activities each hour of each day and each day of the week also had a "theme" e.g. sports day. So we coordinated our movements based on what activities were of interest to the kids. Also a great outdoor shopping mall with other restaurants and bars just across the road from the resort, so this gave us more to explore without having to venture too far in the heat.

Easy to navigate on foot, everything was within walking distance, and without the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Ubud etc. Not a lot of tours in that area, but excellent if all you want to do is swim, relax, read, eat and drink or just chill out.

While Nusa Dua is immaculately maintained and Safe , it is quite a drive to all the main attractions. Also the local businesses are a lot more expensive. Particularly the restaurants , drinks and nibbles

Much quieter than Legian/Kuta area. Much less traffic.
Much quieter than Legian/Kuta area. Much less traffic. Lots of VERY LARGE hotels so hard to find smaller boutique type accommodation close to beach. Not great for shopping. Only a few small local shops and Bali Collection which has a few shops such as Polo and Billabong and some dining options.

Nusa Dua is more upmarket and secure/ safe and always kept very clean. I prefer this side rather than the hustle n' bustle of Kuta/ Legian etc (maybe I'm just getting too old for the party atmosphere?). It's really not too far to Uluwatu or Denpasar if they're to your liking and Pecatu peninsula has just about all I look for in my holiday.
I will usually hire a scooter to get around on (independence) - anywhere from IRP$25k to $45k/ day- and I enjoy going to Mengiat Beach and Nusa Gede/ Peninsula Island (Waterblow) area... It costs IRP$5000k (AU$0.50) to park my scooter there for the day & I'm regularly found at Warung Pasek nearby to the waterblow location (great food/ people)... I usually eat dinner after all of my walking/ swimming at around 5.30pm (as Warung Pasek shut at 6) then go for a walk out onto the island to enjoy the sunset or north along the beachfront to Pura Nusa Dharma Nusa Dua and beyond which is a lovely walk also.
Parking at Mengiat Beach the scooter parking is IRP$2000/ day or part thereof (AU$0.20) and this enables you to chill out right there or walk north towards the Waterblow or south towards Geger Beach and swim wherever you choose... Fantastic!!!
The Bali Collection is located in between these two locations (Mengiat beach & Water blow) and has lots of shopping opportunities as well as food/ beverage options and grocery shopping - a must do experience.
Alternatively, you can wander along the 450-500mtr stretch of Eat Street (Mengiat) about 7 minutes walk back from the beach, and find a bargain at one the many shops or grab a bite to eat. Try some local cuisine at one of the many warungs, or try one of the many restaurants and if you need groceries/ supplies there is a pretty good Coco Supermarket located at the western end of Eat Street on Jl Siligita (just west of the small roundabout). There are a number of money changers here as well as a few ATM's.
Gorgeous hotel with lovely, friendly staff. The spacious rooms were great, and they were kind enough to arrange a connecting room for our family. The hotel was meticulously clean, and we enjoyed the magnificent pool view as well as the compact and versatile gym. It's located about a 15-minute walk away from the Bali Collection shopping area on a clean and comfortable pedestrian street. It's also easy to grab a taxi to Nusa Dua and Jimbaran beaches and restaurants.
Lovely pool areas, so close to the beach and hotel is position in an area where you can walk along Nusa Dua beach.
Had a private dinner booked for the beach and unfortunately it rained and the hotel arranged for the dinner to be moved to the chapel areas which was a lovely romantic setting.
Hotel is also very close to Bali Collection which is a group of shops and local restaurants.
Everything at this resort is as you would hope for. Great location in Nusa Dua which is the pick of spots in Bali. Couldn’t have been more impressed. The room with the pool attached was worth every cent. Just a marvellous stay in a truly luxury resort.
Excellent location, right on the beach & an easy walk to Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre. Staff were polite, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. We were upgraded to a larger lagoon access room which exceeded our expectations.
