The only thing I liked is the commitment of the staff, not the managers. Just the basic staff. Having a swimming pool was good.
There was a very good choice of a breakfast buffet, but for a 5 star to serve tiny packets of Nescafe, is a joke. If I wanted real coffee i had to pay 150 Egp extra for a small espresso, which i did every day.

I visited Portsaid 5 years ago and the city wasn't in it's best condition. But really this visit was different. The streets are clean and well maintained, the variety of restaurants and coffeeshops is nice.
Little tip, the beach in Port Fouad is much nicer and relaxing than Portsaid and the view of the ships entering the open sea is amazing.
I don't recommend sho

This is not ancient Egypt and some parts of the city can appear very run down, especially the commercial area of downtown, so it takes a short while to get used too. However, the endless deep sandy beach with no end of cafes and beach facilities is what makes this a centre of domestic tourism. Also, the beach road strip is full of great food options - the De Lesseps Avenue is a row of food outlets in shipping containers - very industrial chic. The town itself has very smart parks which are lively and buzzy especially in the evening and no end of magnificant churches and mosques. Also, the amazing late 19C wooden balconied tenaments that characterise the downtown area are amazing, if appearing to be on the verge of collapse. The continuous ferry service, free, no wait time, to get across to Port Faoud is a must, the lovely villas and cottages built for the canal workers make for a great stroll. The Famous Canal Port Office is inaccessible and under major restoration and the lighthouse cannot be visited, but these along with more quirky architecture can be still be seen. As I say, not ancient and certainly a little odd, but well worth a visit if you check out what to see and read up a bit before you arrive.

The hotel we stayed in was beautiful with spacious rooms . The fact that it is located right in the middle of the city had its own advantages; we had ease of access to the tourist attractions and shopping areas. The staff are super friendly and super helpful especially the staff at the reception. We had breakfast at the hotel which though satisfactory, could do with more variety. There are several fast food joints but we could have wished for more local cuisine.
The cabs are super efficient with standard charges; no hiking of fares for foreigners detected. We visited the salt mountain in Port Fuad, used the ferry which is free. Went to the lake with flamingoes and also visited the amazing St. Marks Church. We chanced on a second hand market opposite the fish market selling amazing stuff.
Port Said is clean, organized and unique .
All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would most certainly visit Port Said again.

It is a wonderful city needs more staying but the price of rooms are higher than the same stars in Cairo as I spent 3 days in Cairo and paid 450 LE per night and there was internet in the room and good view from window.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had a seating area, which was nice as we had travelled with friends and we could sit together. The room had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities which were restocked each day. The grounds were lovely and clean and the hotel is in a good location. The beach is not private so you can walk down it (although many public areas in Egypt there is a lot of litter). We opted to have breakfast included and this was varied and delicious each day.
I like how it was very clean. When I messaged them for blankets and water they came right away! The front desk staff were very friendly and nice. They even folded my clothes when they came to do their housekeeping. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good. I had a good time. I’d recommend this hotel to someone visiting port said. It’s a very good location around good spots to eat!
The hotel is conveniently located, close to the beach, Suez Canal and the city center. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, all hotel staff is super nice, welcoming and very helpful specially Ms. Lamis who gave us full guidance about the hotel facilities and recommended places to visit in the city, breakfast is amazing.
check in and check out was so fast.
