Kingston Hotel is our go to stay when in the Hobart area. It is very quiet yet conveniently near supermarkets, shopping centres, hotels and places to dine, all within walking distance. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are extremely clean. Tea, coffee etc supplied and there is a small fridge in each room. Basic but really good, clean and comfortable accommodation. At least one room has disabled facilities (parking, accessible bathroom, wider doors etc. with plenty of room for wheelchairs).

It’s adequate, not outstanding, needs a good deep cleaning , and all carpets removed in bedrooms. We were sold an “apartment “ as we wanted as my wife is celiac. They gave us a room with a kettle. They did offer to have us cook in the sun room however. Outside of the hot plate there. Was NOTHING . Terribly uncomfortable situation. At over 200a night it was embarrassing. We ended up having the chef cook for us but not what we planned.

Sunrise Cottage in Dover is a terrific place to explore the South of Tasmania. The town of Dover offering shops, cafe and restaurant (the local RSL is only a few minute walk and has amazing views) for eating out and yet is close to a heap of major attractions such as Hastings Caves, Russell Falls, Huonville and the stunning bays of the South. The view from the house was lovely as was the quiet. We even had a Pademelon entertaining us in the yard in the early evenings. The cottage is clean, roomy and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Gary was a great host from the get-go. Very communicative and helpful with local area knowledge. The fire pit was a plus and the grounds were a great way to decompress for a short weekend stay. The breakfast was wonderful, gave us fuel to explore. Charming setting with countryside surrounds. Very convenient location for Dover.

The day before we checked in we received detailed instructions on how to get to the property, where to park, where the keys will be and where the closest shops are. This information was highly valuable - it was accurate and detailed. The host is friendly and very accommodating. It's a spacious two bedroom with a living and kitchen area. It was clean and well kept. It was too cold for us to sit outside so we didn't use the BBQ or outdoor sitting area. The heating on was sufficient and the fireplace worked great! Kettering is a quiet area - day and night. I will definitely stay again.
