This is a great place to stay, very friendly people, has everything of big city without the hustle and bustle, many day trips from here. You can do a day trip over the Cambodian border. Some very good restaurants with western food but with a Thai influence. We drove from Bangkok, very easy to do and easy trip.Guest review byCraigAustralia - 4.0

Sakew is not familiar with visiting tourist, ideally the tourist should speak Thai, this would make their visit more easier and pleasant. I was fortunate having a Thai friend who was a great help. Travelling from sakaeo is not easy in which is the best option. Fortunately for me I was assisted by my Thai friend who arranged transport for me back to Pattaya. Incidentally, this is not an easy trip, be prepared for a long day, with many stops and probably cramped conditions, nevertheless I arrived back at my hotel, tired and sore but much wiser!Guest review byBruceThailand - 2.0
There's almost nothing in this town to see or do.
There's almost nothing in this town to see or do. Why visit this town? For three purposes: 1. To border bounce. If you're in Thailand on a short term visa, you'll need to leave and return. This city is connected to Poi Pet, Cambodia. 2. To go to the casinos. There's casinos on the other side in Poi Pet. 3. To buy unwanted Goodwill (a chain of thrift stores in the USA) clothes and goods at the extremely large border market. Don't meet those three reasons? Then don't go to Aranyaprathet. The city, and place, itself is a typical small Thai town. There is sidewalks, electricity, running water, but there's no reason to go.Guest review byBenjaminThailand - 6.0

Stayed in Sa Kaeo for travel to a small village my girlfriend is from that didn't have hotel. stayed three days. Restaurant very close to hotel on same street that looked good but was closed. The name was in Thai , but my Thai girlfriend told me it said the name is 'Cartoon'. Another restaurant around corner and down the main road I think called 'Coffee House' was vary nice inside and outside but service was not professional , food was just OK , could be so much better with good management. Possibly owned by American living in Thailand.Guest review byChilipinUnited States
