This was my third time staying at this charming, historic hotel and I have to say - it gets better every time. This time I came with friends and we booked 5 rooms. Staff were very responsive to my messages when I had concerns about there being someone to greet us with our later than expected arrival. The front desk is manned all the time. Breakfast was fabulous and served in the central courtyard area. The rooms we had were very spacious and everyone's beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly, spoke English and French, and were able to make suggestions for us. They made our stay super easy.

The hotel was a construction site. Almost everything in the hotel was closed: beach side restaurant, beach and pool areas (the chairs were unusable). The room did NOT have hot water. The hotel was NOT ready to have guests. We left after the first night there. The hotel didn't warned us about the construction, nor reduced the price or compensated us. Avoid this place.

Delicious Breakfast: The Belgian host, Gerard, went above and beyond, serving us French toasts, eggs, homemade jams, pastries, and fresh lemonade. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding. 3. Cozy Pool: While the pool was small, it was perfect for my partner and me, often having it to ourselves. It provided a great place to relax and cool off. 4. Comfortable Beds: The comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep, allowing us to fully enjoy our days exploring Djerba. 5. Artistic Decor: Dar Bibine's decor was a feast for the eyes, with numerous art pieces and unique utensils like knives and glasses from artists adding a special touch. 6.     This hotel was amazing!! It’s right on the beach with cozy beach chairs, a bar and restaurant connected with good food/drinks, and a gorgeous pool. You can bring your breakfast outside to one of the bar’s patio tables to feel the breeze and watch men walk by leading horses and camels. The staff were so lovely - Fatma at reception was incredibly helpful especially considering my language barrier (I don’t speak French/Arabic), and even the cleaning staff were incredibly friendly and always said good morning to me and gave me the biggest smiles. I loved everything about this place. At first I thought I’d need to suck it up and pay for wifi in my room, since it only works in the lobby and courtyard, but I’m glad I didn’t - it was nice to be disconnected from social media for a while!

    The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the pool area was nice and big. The hotel grounds were lovely and there were all kinds of activities. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet in our room. The food was decent, not excellent but good enough. Overall it was great value for money and we would recommend it!

    The graffiti art in Djerbahood is definitely worth visiting as is the nearby ancient synagogue. Hamt soukh is interesting but beware of some of the traders as they can be so pushy and hence over priced. Dont be afraid to bargain hard. There are some amazing quiet beaches that are off the beaten track that taxis will take you too and pick up and they are so inexpensive it is cheaper than getting a hire car. We had a four hour tour with a driver for only £35. We visited during Rammadan so there were limitations of bars and restaurants but not at the hotels.

    Djerba is a beautifully, calm and relaxing island with good weather and lots of activities to enjoy. Most things are absolute value for money with food options plenty. The island is pretty easy to get around although for convenience, I’d recommend hiring a car.

    Nice friendley neighbours and nearby shops . it was great being in an apartment so I was able to cater for myself it gave me the freedom of doing what I wanted. Taxis prices were really affordable and a local bus service was available to get around the island.
