Location was pretty okay, considering you can take a taxi anywhere for a reasonable price. When it comes to walking distance there is good food nearby but not any landmarks, or "central" city feels, depending on your expectations. Overall safe location and quite nice.

I was in Sonderia in 2023 and the only problem i found was that they didn't have any foreigners at that moment or activities for foreigners, but I repeated this year because I just loved anything else, and with Nicole at the frontdesk they solved any complain I had two years ago. Near Wenshu temple in a nice neighborhood, just coming back every night knowing you'll have life music in a charming bar such a nice touch. And they organized events and tours for travellers, so easy to get to know people in the laid back Chengdù but specially easy if you stay in Sonderia.

I had every morning the noodles soup bowl made directly by the lady cook, it was very goog and I am going to miss it now that I am back in France. All the staff is very helpfull, polite and gentle (the people at the reception desk, the hostesses at the lounge and of course the maids). They are all smiling, discreet and very well dressed, this is a sign of quality and standing.
