Unfortunately one of the bedrooms was missing half of curtains so the morning sun light was a big no. And need to update the pillows. Other than that I personally recommend and hope to be back soon.

The Bhubesi camp is a roughly 25 to 30 minutes drive from the main camp at Hlane National park, it is really remote and only for those who plan to cook for themselves. There is electricity, unlike the main camp! Driving around after sunset is not allowed, so you`re by yourself pretty much out there in the buch. There are 5 or 6 stone houses next to each other, still with lots of privace, a nice garden with fireplace. Inside, there are two rooms, each having an own bathroom with shower AND bathtube, all in good condition, more like in a very good mountain cabin. The kitchen also features everything you might need. For us, Hlane national park was the perfect place before driving to Kruger National park. Hlane might not offer that many animals and is (of course) quite small, but the waterhole was busy all the time, Rhinos, Giraffe, hooved animals, warthogs could be spotted almost any time of the day. There was an option for a guided safari, where you can also spot lions and elephants quite easily, we drove around on our own instead. The roads are in great condition, you get a map and you can just drive around as you like. There`s another waterhole with a nice bird hide and a picnic spot on the other side of the waterhole, saw very interesting bird species there. All in all: Value for money was awesome, we would return!

We enjoyed our stay, the facility was great and so the price also. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant which was very nice. Will definitely visit again. The only downside in our unit was the bath, we would have preferred a shower.

The game Guides were very knowledgeable and pleasant.

The game Guides were very knowledgeable and pleasant. Unfortunately on our first Sunset drive, there was a big storm and all the passengers were soaking wet and freezing cold. Guides should have asked us if we wanted to go home and / or plastic ponchos should have been available for the use of guests on the drive. A small blanket would have been a good thing too as it was very cold. Perhaps a bit more info regarding procedure at the restaurant and more upfront info regarding the lack of charging facilities for phones. Our paraffin lamp was leaking and so a very strong paraffin smell pervaded our accommodation.
