Self-Catering Accommodations in La Rotraite

Everything. My second time at Nou Lakaz. I spent approximately a month on Mauritius at various locations around the island and i can tell you all that this is definitely the best of the bunch, so much so that i returned for my last week on the island. Sure, it's not the "sexy" option as being within walking distance of the beaches or nightclubs or restaurants or bars but if you have a car it's a short drive to all of that. What it provided for me was peaceful nights of sleep and fantastic views from the balcony (sunrise & sunset) as well as a fantastically comfortable apartment with many accoutrements that you won't find elsewhere (especially the kitchen). If i could magically transplant this apartment to all of my future travel destinations, i would (sacrificing the view obviously). And, if i could take it to my home country, i would sign a 5 year lease and pay a huge deposit without reservation.

Ryan is a very welcoming and responsive host. We have never received such attention from other owners before. The apartment is beautiful and more importantly Ryan has thought through all requirements that the guests might have. Anything that we needed was there. The bedrooms are big with air-conditioning and comfy mattresses. Kitchen is well equipped and bathroom is clean and well maintained. The hall has neat, quality furniture with a TV with all entertainment channels you need. Wifi connectivity was superb. The location is actually close to the best beaches like Flic en Flac and there are restaurants and grocery stores near by. But you need a car and we had one, so no problem. And for the price, it was a steal. Wouldn't look anywhere else if visiting again.

The location was awesome! If you want a “home” away from home experience this will provide it for you. The view from the balcony was amazing of the ocean. So peaceful and we saw the stars at night while listening to the ocean😍 the people are so beautiful and they smile greet you and continue to meander along minding their business. We were not stressed about anything at all! It’s called Sunset view which is so aptly named. They have a washing machine on the balcony but no dryer. Most places have no dryer. We didn’t mind that either because it allowed for my husband and I to spend quality time together talking while hanging the clothes on the lines. This was our belated honeymoon. We truly enjoyed our stay! Thank you very much.

I had a wonderful stay and would especially like to thank Mr Nitish Patroo for the outstanding hospitality. The location is excellent, with easy access to supermarkets, food outlets, and convenient transport facilities. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the TV offered a great selection of channels. Mr Nitish was exceptionally kind, helpful and attentive to every detail. He regularly checked on our well being and satisfaction and consistently demonstrated a genuine customer-oriented approach, making the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again.

The appartement was really cozy in general. We could see the owner's efforts into it. It was overall clean and had some basic amenities for comfortable living (such as a refrigerator, gas stove, kettle, plates and cutlery, etc.). The owner was also very kind. She was always helpful during my stay. My flight was delayed when I arrived, and although check-in ends at 11 p.m. as indicated, she waited for me until almost midnight. I a 100% recommend this place if you're looking for an affordable accomodation near Port-Louis (a 15 minutes bus-ride away).

The apartment is very comfortable with air conditioner. I was feeling at home. Supermarket, atm, bus are not far away, two minutes walk. Very clean, Jimmy is a nice guy, always available.
