Everything. The room was huge, with a firm, comfortable bed and French doors opening onto a private sitting area outside. The kitchenette was tiny but everything we needed for basics was there. Teas and good coffee provided. A great shower. Excellent laundry facilities with a clothesline available. Comfortable and spacious and welcoming.

Look, my expecations were set quite low as I don't think the correct photos were used on the booking, it looked very dated and budget which is fine but upon arrival, I was pleasantly suprised to find that the room was actually really quite nice. Very good value for money at only $156 per night for a unit with private bathroom and kitchenette. The room was very quiet too which is something I always look for as im a light sleeper. As a side note, I think you could update your photos because they dont do the place much justice.

Just finished The Heaphy Track, got the track company to drop us at The Riverstone Retreat, 30 min drive to Karamea. This place is so luxurious and beautifully appointed. Attention to detail from the owners, spa towels shower towels, veranda to look over the beautiful gardens, great kitchen with everything you need, even berries and yoghurt in the fridge for us! Bathroom upmarket tiles great rain shower. Highly recommended, owners couldn’t do more to help. Quiet and peaceful location
