We stayed at the property in mid-August 2024 for two nights in the Three-Bedroom Apartment; literally, we had the whole upper floor to ourselves. It was like staying at home, where you had everything you needed to stay comfortable. If you prepare well, you will enjoy the stay and serenity of the area. Please be reminded again that the supermarket and gas station were not closed or in the area. A physical credit card was needed, but no Apple Pay.

    Very good value for money. Serene location and the area had lots of surprises for us. Curio Bay, the museum and cafe are all less than 20 km away. The kitchen was well equipped, including an electric frypan and portable hotplace, but there was no exhaust, so cooking without the smoke alarm going off was an issue.

    The house was lovely and spacious. It was nicely furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. It was also warm which was nice as the strong wind was quite cold down at Curio Bay. Communication ahead of our stay was good and Pip was super helpful in dealing with an extra guest and when we left a small item behind. We appreciated the milk that Pip left us.

    An excellent holiday home atop the ridge as the name implies. For 2 of us the bedroom with the ensuite facilities was closed off so we had the run of 2 bedrooms and bathroom and the open plan dining room, kitchen and breakfast bar and lounge. It is very commodious throughout with very good facilities and a utility room including washing machine and tumble drier. Light, airy and great views over the bay.

    It was tranquil, spacious, great kitchen, great outlook..Favourite time was breakfast on the verandah. Comfortable rooms, quiet surroundings we slept well. We were very happy here.

    Amazing location and views provided a great base for exploring all of the Catlins. A reasonable price for this type of motel accommodation in the area. Well set up for self catering with electric frypan, microwave and hot plate. Beds were comfortable and the unit was very clean and well presented.
