Self-Catering Accommodations in Matosinhos

We have been traveling in Portugal for over 3 weeks and have been from Lisbon, Algrave, Douro Valley, Porto and back to Lisbon. This has been the best place we have stayed. You are right on the coast and the Atlantic surf greets you every morning and spins you off to sleep every night. Just far enough out of Porto to keep you out of the crowds, yet very easy to get to. Top shelf restaurants within walking distance, as well as great places to have a beer (or whatever), while watching the surf and great Atlantic. The hosts (Husband & Wife) were just fantastic & the apartment was like a home. Thank you both for a wonderful stay and hope to see you next year, Babs & Bill

We had an excellent stay in a beautifully renovated apartment. The host was very attentive and quick to respond, which made everything easy. On arrival, we were also greeted with a few thoughtful surprises like fresh fruit and coffee, which made us feel very welcome

Staff and location, easy access to supermarket and trams, nice food scooters were fun

Great location and very carefully decorated apartment. Everything was provided. The kitchen has everything you might need plus coffee and some condiments . Tasteful pastries and very good port wine. Very quiet area

This is a gem of a hostel, so clean and comfortable with kind staff, breakfast, lots of hot water for a good shower, and a super comfortable communal living room/dining room/kitchen. Thank you!

The Vintage Beach House is the place to stay if you want a real feel for the warmth & charm of Portugal. The owners Rui and Vanda are incredible people and made me feel like part of the family giving wonderful support in every need of my visit. They speak very good English and will accommodate any request if possible. The house has been painstakingly restored and has all the modern amenities yet keeps the ambiance of a home which is inviting and comfortable. I travel extensively and have been to over 52 countries this place will be one of my favorite for its peaceful and gracious atmosphere I would come back again and spend more time, in my humble opinion, I would give it 10/10.

A nice apartment in a regular neighborhood- great view into a beautiful garden - well organized and very comfortable. The owners accommodated us in storing our luggage till check-in and even carried it to the room. Much appreciated.

Has a washing machine, big wardrobes, a nice double bed and two air cons and a big tv in the lounge room. Really nice view and location. Literally 2-min walk away from the beach. And surrounded by many great restaurants and supermarkets. Excellent stay!!

We loved location and apartment size and decor. The host was wonderful, help us a lot with questions and cocerns. Daily we travel to Porto by metro that was excelent, 25 minutes to Porto"s Old Town. At evening we enjoyed beach walking and see sunset. This was a lovely stay.

Super comfortable stay and wonderful location. Host was friendly and helpful, making it easy for us to arrive early and store our bags. The apartment was very nice and exactly as pictured. We both thought the bed was comfortable. Shower was great. AC worked well. Check-in was a breeze because they created a simple code for us to get into both the building and the unit. Seamless experience which often isn't the case in Portugal. The apartment is on the smaller side as has been common in Portugal but it's laid out very well and had everything we wanted, including a kitchen. Plus, the divider between the bedroom and living room can also extend the full length if you want the rooms fully separated, which was useful at times, but also nice to have it function a bit like one large room at times too. Highly recommend.
