Self-Catering Accommodations in Touguinho

Perfect for two of us, 1 person in bedroom, 1 on couch. All was nice. Only one night to enjoy.

Very friendly staff & nice apartment!

Great location, quiet, peaceful, nice terrace.

Our hosts were exceptional, being immediately responsive. A tray of goodies greeted us upon our entry, beds were comfortable, easily accessible to everything, and a back yard that was perfect for our breakfast and a night relaxing with a glass of Douro wine. I brought my dog and they had dishes waiting for him. We were there for a festival which could be seen from the front door and from the bedroom window above. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Vila do Conde.

Breakfast was not included; however, there was a micro kitchen in the apartment, and I carry add-water foods with me, so that worked out well. I arrived by bicycle during the March storms of 2025. I had expected to stash my bike in the carport, but my host himself rolled my bike down the ramp into the apartment so it would remain dry and out of the weather. (The unit is a cozy little "granny flat" in the remodeled garage under the private home.) The bed was extremely comfortable; there was a second bedroom for a larger group; the shower was promptly hot and abundant. The wifi connection was strong. I cancelled my caminho because of the storms; my host let me check out later because I had to wait till my wife arrived with a car to carry the bike home. The place is not convenient to the beach, and that bummed me out until I discovered how wonderful the accomodation was. I wound up not missing the water at all. I absolutely, heartily, recommend this place. (I refer to "my host" because I want to respect his privacy.)

The hosts are delightful! Nando and Paula make a real effort to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. We've rarely had such kind and gracious hosts in our travels. They even put up a Christmas tree and decorations for us (it was December)! They gave us fruit from their garden, and an interesting tour of their dairy. The house is lovingly restored and remains true to the old details. The kitchen is an interesting historic stone room with a giant fireplace (but the kitchen has modern fixtures) - cold in winter but they provided a good space heater. The bedrooms are comfortable and plenty warm, even in winter. The bathrooms are nice and modern.

Spacious, comfortable and private. Great place to stay for a few days and more to slow down.
