I’d also like to point out that you should definitely follow the hosts’ recommendation and have breakfast at the place across the street — it was absolutely delicious! I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the family as well. I had the problem that no ATM in Gokarna accepted my debit card, and the two sons supported me so kindly in finding a way to get cash.
