Breakfast in a place nearby offered gluten free options which was perfect for me. Bedroom was really nice, I had the twin room, very clean and all amenities available.

The best part was the host Sergio who took us for a great driving tour of surrounding historical sites, a wonderful cave church covered with frescoes, the Palomba sculpture garden filled with Antonio Paradiso's work and a walk along the gravina to visit rock hewn caves. And he took us to the best foccacia bakery of Matera....

Mary was great at recommending restaurants and local bars etc. October weather was perfect for site seeing and lounging in the many alfresco café s. Kitchen was well equipped.

Kitchen facilities were really good. Supermarket is very near. Walkable distance from property to important places. Washing machine was functioning and comfortably dried our clothes. Free street parking was available. Everything was good.
