The old Japanese house was warm and homey and the hosts were kind and welcoming. Two cats were a bonus. Dinner at the Thai restaurant was exceptional and highly recommended! I would be back anytime and ideally would stay for longer!

Easy 10 min walk from Uchinomaki station, so accessible also without a car (just watch the train schedule since trains are only once per hour or so). This is just one train stop from Aso station, so provides easy access to Mt. Aso and the surrounding area. The kitchen is fully equipped (cutlery, pans, condiments, etc) and there is a small grocery store nearby to buy ingredients. Rooms are large, and there is a kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a japanese - style bathroom. The piano in the living room was a great and unexpected bonus. We were passing through and only stayed one night, but it would have been a great base to explore the Aso area and we would have loved to stay for longer.

A recently renovated guest house situated in Minami Aso, お宿でん吉 features a garden. Amazing friendly host and such a cool home to stay in. The bbq they set up for us was a highlight of the trip!!

Spotlessly clean and has all amenities for even a long stay. Right next to city centre. Car park recommended by host was just a few steps away and cheap too. Host very helpful. Place is newly renovated and spacious. Futon was comfortable. Easy access - at ground floor. Not much noise even though just next to the street. Highly recommend.
