We had a wonderful time at Gion Elite Terrace hotel. The building is very well designed, with a fresh contemporary design. The stuff is super friendly. We felt like home.

The room was also very clean and staff are very friendly! Free self laundry is another bonus! 2 subway stations nearby and walking distance to Nishiki market. Easy transportation to tour Kyoto and even Arashiyama.

The view was definitely the highlight, as you get access to the full panorama view of Higashi Honganji Temple across the road. Other than that, the room itself was spacious and came with all the quintessential amenities. Bunk beds with personal sockets are also great if you are traveling as a group of friends. The staff were extremely helpful and flexible. - Even though the official check-in time was 4pm, we were able to do it way earlier than that since the room was ready. - If you don't need room cleaning, they will give you a box of matcha cookies in lieu, which was very thoughtful. - They can also help you to exchange coins for laundry machines and recommend places to visit & eat. Finally, there is free coffee from 8-12pm, and tea after that, which is cherry on top for an excellent stay.

This hotel has an excellent location that made exploring the area so convenient. Our room was spacious and came with all the amenities we needed, including laundry facilities right in the room which was incredibly helpful. The staff truly made our stay exceptional, especially Miko and Milan, who went above and beyond to provide recommendations that made our visit even more enjoyable.

The staff is great. The apartment is very good and spacious, great for a family. If we need something, we can borrow easily from the reception. (Even some games). The location is great, 10 mins walking from the Kyoto station! I definitely recommend this place!

We loved this hotel for our family of four. Great location to the train station and attractions. Comfortable and spacious room, exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff!
