Located in Miyajima, 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and 400 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, 宮島 町家宿 進龍庵 provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. One of the absolute highlights of our time in Japan. The house is a beautifully restored ryokan with excellent modern facilities, on a quiet street just a 5 minute walk from central Miyajimacho. Our host was incredibly generous and accommodating, greeting us with tea and treats and recommendations. She made us feel very welcome. As a base for our hike of Mt Misen, it was perfect. Miyajima is a busy place for daytrippers from Hiroshima, so staying overnight gave us the chance to see the island practically deserted in the morning and evening hours: a perfect way to see Itsukushima Shrine and Daisho-in Temple earlier in the day, before the crowds arrive, and even to wander out at low tide after dark to touch the base of the great, "floating" torii gate. Highly, highly recommend Shintatsuan as a place to stay!

We loved everything about the property. Our stay was everything we hoped for and more. The house was spotless, beautiful, and full of character. The location was perfect… peaceful and tucked away, but still only a short walk to the island’s main sights, shops, and ferries. It made exploring Miyajima incredibly easy. Communication with the host was clear, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. A map of the island with restaurants pinpointed including their business hours was provided to us at check in which was very thoughtful. We loved the quiet atmosphere, the beautiful interior, and the sense of calm the property offered. The beds were VERY comfortable! Plates, cups, cutlery, chopsticks, teapot plus tea and yummy coffee were all available! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Miyajima.

Beds were so snuggly. Aircon in each room. Two bathrooms. Bedrooms were big and heaps of room to open luggage. Was really clean and towels were new and fluffy. It had a traditional Japanese feel but was modern. Loved everything about it

You could look out from the tiny balcony and watch all the tourists on the street below. Central location make for easy walking to all the attractions. Very clean and neat. Fun space to play a board game at night.

It is located on Omotesando, closer to one end of the street. Since Omotesando is not very long, it takes about 10 minutes to reach Itsukushima Shrine. The space is exceptionally large, and having seven double beds is quite excessive—even though there were only four of us staying. It also includes a washing machine with a drying function. The price is not cheap, but it is probably the typical rate in Miyajima. Umbrellas are also provided at the entrance for emergency use.

We were greeted and shown around by a lovely lady, and a deer welcomed us by the front door. The place was very cozy and clean. After climbing Mt. Misen, it was wonderful to relax in the outdoor bath.

Located in Miyajima and only 18 km from Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Mare di Miyajima マーレ ディ ミヤジマ provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was perfect! The house and the view are amazing.
