The house was warm and comfortable thanks to its high-quality and efficient heating/AC system. I also loved learning that the house was restored as part of the local government revitalization project with the University, with architecture students involved in the reconstruction, giving it a special character. I even enjoyed a restaurant specializing in kombu seaweed, recommended by the owner. I’ll definitely be back.

Located in Toyama, the recently renovated Guesthouse KEN offers accommodation 3 km from Toyama Station and 11 km from Toyama-kō. The owner waited to receive my family arrival. Excellent hospitality. Communication with the Japanese owner not a problem as he could speak good English. Within the unit, cleanliness in tip-top condition. The living room with a very comfortable sofa, huge dinning table sufficient for 6 pax use, nicely sized shower room, etc. Everything within the unit looks newly furnished and in excellent condition. Beddings are very comfortable, perfect for good rest. Air conditioning keeping the unit in comfortable temperature. Supermarket and F&B establishments are just a few minutes drive away. Surrounding environment is peaceful and terrific. This place has been the best my family ever stayed among the many overseas trips our family had. Owner even popped by to say Good Bye despite our family leaving the unit in early hours in the morning. Highly recommended.
