I emailed them to say that I would be arriving about 11pm. They sent me full instructions and codes to let myself in and find my room. I left early the next morning so I did not meet any staff in person so can't review them.

Mare Apartments are located on the slope of Nazaré, a 10-minute walk from the sandy beaches and the picturesque town’s centre. The area also offers a variety of sports and leisure activities. Close to the beach and uptown areas, the apartment is large, bright and nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and professional. There's a Pingo Doce a few meters near the apartment, very practical for multi-day stays.

The accommodation is in a great location, spotlessly clean and is a great sized room with a king size bed and large ensuite shower room and small but private balcony and is on the ground floor with only five steps to get to the room which was great as my husband has recently suffered a stroke and is partially paralysed. The hosts are fantastic and extremely helpful. They are local and very easy to contact if necessary. The accommodation is very safe with an outer security door plus a further 3 internal security doors to get to your room. Felt very safe and using keypad rather than keys was great.

The communication was very simple David helped us and told us where to park our car. We arrived to the apartment and his son met us and explained all we needed to know. The apartment was nice, clean, had great a/c.we enjoyed Tomar and David's apartment very much. We are a family with 2 teenagers and the apartment was perfect for us.

Nicely decorated and renovated old house with modern swift and soul. The hospitality of the owner is exceptional with a basket with local food. The kitchen is equipped with all necessities like coffee machine for espresso, microwave oven, airfryer, etc.
