As other guests have mentioned, the hospitality, food and atmosphere is outstanding. We greatly enjoyed conversations with several other international guests over meals and apres-ski. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The common area allows a family atmosphere with the hosts and other guests for those that prefer this. Still very convenient to Valle Nevado.

This was not a hostel, it was a converted family home that added extra walls and bedrooms to fit as many people as possible. None of the rooms had locking doors, we weren't allowed to use the kitchen, the staff was unfriendly and did not have any knowledge of the local area and the owners have not properly registered with their bank to process payments in dollars to allow the guests to save the 20% VAT tax they should not have have to pay. At $200 a night per room I do not take sympathy at needing to do paperwork at a bank and getting a second credit card machine when $30 a night hostels in Patagonia have done it.

Fully renovated since May 2017, Hotel HF offers accommodations directly in the ski center of Farellones, only 31 mi from Santiago city center.
