It was perfect ! Very big room in Japanese style with beautiful view. The onsen are really great and it's so nice to have the opportunity of a private onsen without paying more. The hotel sell also dried ramen and snacks (chips, pop corn). Staff is really nice and helpful, they can pick you up at the train station for free.

My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights on our Indy Pass ski trip. The lodge is immaculately clean and cozy. We loved our tatami rooms with private bathroom / shower. The breakfast each day was delicious and filling. The common area had self serve beverages with some snacks available all day. They have both a men’s and women’s Onsen bath that can be reserved by the 1/2 hour time slot and since we were the only ones staying there we had them to ourselves. It’s a quick 10 minute drive to Simokura ski area. There are several restaurants, Akatsuki brewery and several other onsens within walking distance. The best part was the hospitality and kindness of the host couple. Despite the struggles with language, It was fun chatting with them about skiing and their lives (with the help of Google translate). We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Amazing room and great location. We had the pleasure to try sulfur onsen and it was really great. Such a nice relaxing time in this hotel.

The breakfast was some of the best food I has in Japan! The bath was wonderfully relaxing. I loved how quiet it was and my chats with the women who ran the pension.
