You can take bus from takayama to shirakawago and visit for lesser than 2 hours, get on heritage bus ( prepare some cash, even they said you can use credit card, but I took five times , 3 you can, other 2 cash only!) stop to visit suganuma ( there are lockers at bus stop only 100en), get on heritage bus again and stop at kaminashi to get to this hotel; next day get heritage bus to visit ainokura ( coin lockers at bus stop too), then get on heritage bus and head to takaoka or shin takaoka! Best trip!
