We only stayed one night - how we wish we’d had longer! It’s so beautiful, even lovelier than the pictures. Breakfast was brought over to us on a tray in the morning. There’s a horse in the field nearby and the friendliest dog who just likes to hang out and come for walks with you. Cachi is 10 mins drive away, a really lovely, vibrant little town with friendly locals and great restaurants and bars. We got takeaway pizza and took it back to the property. I just loved it here and dream about coming back.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool with great panoramic views, Altalaluna is an upscale colonial-style mansion with a spa and free Wi-Fi access. Gourmet dishes can be enjoyed at the restaurant. This is the best hotel we have been to in Argentina, the place is just wonderful and the employees are very nice! The location is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards, the hotel's architecture is stunning (it looks like a Spanish "masia" or a countryside house in Italy's Tuscany). When we arrived they gave us a room in the first floor and asked for a room in the floor above to have better views, they did all they could to change our room free of charge. They also offered a free wine-tasting, so we had the chance to try all of their wines with some cheese platters (white, red, rose, from the cheaper end to the very expensive end) with a professional sommelier. The hotel offers some activities (we did a horseback-riding excursion). In the evening the garden and the terrace are full of people enjoying some nice wine, the atmosphere is really magical. A lot of people ignore the area of Cafayate (and head to Mendoza instead), that is a big mistake, not only do I think that Cafayate wine is nicer but the area is beautiful. I strongly recommend staying here!

Asturias is set in a large country house surrounded by Argentinean-style gardens in downtown Cafayate. It offers an outdoor pool and attractive rooms with ornamental décor and free Wi-Fi. Well maintained building with great facilities. The room was quite large, the staff were welcoming. Great location close to everything in town. The view of the mountains is amazing. We used the pool area which was clean and very nice for an afternoon rest. Breakfast was good with everything we could need.

Hotel Ankara Suites is located less than 10 minutes’ walk from the Salta city centre. It offers modern, self-catering apartments with free Wi-Fi, and a hydromassage tub, and sauna. Very clean and cozy, highly recommended. Can feel the hotel’s attention to detail in every part of its facilities and environment.
