Set amidst 170 acres of parkland, Lyrath Estate Kilkenny is located on the outskirts of Kilkenny City. It offers air-conditioned rooms, Oasis Spa with indoor infinity pool, leisure centre and 2 award-winning restaurants. Free WiFi is available throughout. Absolutely beautiful hotel and surroundings. The staff were all lovely and the breakfast was excellent (and in a beautiful setting overlooking the grounds). The spa is small but very nice, the indoor/outdoor pool is unlike anything I have seen before and we absolutely loved it. Can't recommend the Lyrath enough and can't wait to go back again hopefully!

Spacious and sumptuously furnished with Georgian decor, each room at The Merrion features city or garden views. Guests can relax in cosy bathrobes with luxury toiletries in the bathroom. Rooms offer a flat-screen satellite TV, a refrigerator, and a minibar. Room excellent food very good and staff would be the reason I would return. It’s very pricey unfortunately but for a special stay in the capital and its location makes it a winner
