Built in 1903, the iconic Taj Mahal Palace stands majestically opposite the Gateway of India, overlooking the Arabian Sea. We stayed here from Dec 29 2024 to Jan 2 2025. I am writing this review soon after we reached home. This was one of our several visits to the Taj in the past few years and, incredibly, every visit tops the previous one. Often, one wants to try a new place although with the Taj, this is not the case. Somehow, it draws you back again and again. Sakshi helped check us in and stayed in touch throughout the stay. She took over all our matters as soon as we checked in. Which wasn’t easy given the hotel was at near full capacity and the pressure of new year eve preparations. We can’t thank her and Ritesh (the GM of the property) for making our family feel super special. The Taj Mahal Palace wing sets the benchmark for warmth and luxury. One has to stay here to set yourself a benchmark of what hotel stays can be like. If your travels bring you to Mumbai, stay here. Even if it is for a day. It makes life worth living!

Very welcoming and hospitable staff. Everyone greeted us with a warm smile and always ready to assist. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of different Indian breakfast live stations and continental option too. The staff at Hill View restaurant were top…so attentive to your needs and went the extra mile. Thanks to Mayur and JP, we really enjoyed the dining experience.
