Boasting an open-air hot springs bath and spacious garden, Arima Grand Hotel is located a 10-minute walk away from Arima Onsen Station. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. The onsen/bath areas were very nice. Dinner was excellent. Room is spacious and comfortable.

Located a 5-minute taxi ride from Sannomiya Station and Motomachi Station, Kobe Minato Onsen Ren boasts a variety of hot spring baths, a year-round hot spring outdoor pool, an indoor swimming pool, a... The price is high, but you can expect a lot. The hotel rooms were great. You could choose if you prefer to sleep in big comfy western beds or prefered a Japanese futon instead (there were two rooms, so enough space to get the futons out). Maybe prepare a bit in advance, so that you know what´s going on, because the English introduction at reception is a bit shorter than the Japanese one, but the staff is always really helpful and can answer your questions. Breakfast and diner were both included and were fantastic. The sushi cook in the evening was so helpful and we tried 2-3 different sort of fish we never had before. And all the other dishes were great, too. Don´t forget to stop in time, so that there is still room for dessert ;o) The onsen on the roof is wonderful. You have an excellent night view and can see the beautiful harbour area. There is an onsen for women and one for men. First there is a big room where you undress and put your clothes in little baskets. Then there is a shower room followed by a pool, a whirlpool and the lovely onsen. And if you want to spend around 200 Yen extra, don´t forget to visit the room with the massage chairs. They are amazing.

We liked the quiet location, the staff’s friendliness and determination to make us feel at home, and also the food! We had our 2 year old daughter with us, and she had a great time as well. The private bath and the bath in the room was absolitely out of this world. We were so relaxed after everything that we all fell asleep like babies.

Set in the woods by Mount Kuruhi, Hotel Shogetsutei is 5 minutes from Kinosaki-Onsen Train Station on the free shuttle. It features beautiful outdoor hot-spring baths and a spa. Everything about the stay was perfect. From the reception to our room attendant - everyone was overly polite and kind. The room was amazing (with private onsen) - very spacious, traditional style and an amazing view. The private onsen experience is well worth the money and I can only recommend it. Kaiseki dinner was private in our room - the food was fresh, interesting and tasty. Breakfast was a buffet, there was both japanese and western style breakfast - both were delicious. Overall, visiting an onsen town and trying traditional kaiseki dinner is an amazing experience that everyone visiting Japan has to experience and the Nishimuraya Hotel in Kinosaki onsen is a great place to do that.

Yamamotoya is a 7-minute walk from JR Kinosaki Onsen Station and a free 2-way shuttle is provided. It offers Japanese-style accommodation with a brewery, a hot-spring bath and free Wi-Fi. We experienced Japanese hospitality to the fullest! Right from the moment we entered the establishment till seeing us off after checking out. The staff are attentive and polite. Loved the picturesque view from the room. Scrumptious breakfast! Please try their beer. Highly recommend!

Featuring a Japanese garden, hot-spring baths and a vase gallery, Mikuniya is 250 metres from JR Kinosaki-Onsen Train Station. The Japanese rooms have a DVD player and traditional futon beds. The authentic ryokan style, very hood experience to stay here. the private onsen is first come first serve. overall is very clean, staff is very nice. lovely location in walkable range to 7 public onsen with a free pass and free yukata!

Kaiseki dinner was great. Pricey, but it was an experience. Rooms were amply sized and clean and comfortable. Onsen was a little on the small size, but it was nice to soak in the two different hot springs.

This hotel was absolutely stunning. Amazing first class service and wonderful staff. We loved how quiet and private our room was. Stepping outside and literally hearing birds and being able to see stars at night was amazing. The room and the bathtub are spacious and comfortable. The meals are local cuisine and tasted amazing. This is one of the best experiences Ive ever had at a hotel. The staff was able to check our reservations to the Hello Kitty Show Box as well which was very kind. Thank you very much!
