We liked the location a lot. The food, the room, the bathing area were great and the personal very helpful and kind.

A 15-minute walk from JR Kotohira Station, Kotohira Kadan offers natural hot spring baths and spacious Japanese-style rooms, some with a private outdoor hot spring bath. Spacious room in a ryokan in Kotohira. It is around 5 minutes' walk to the shrine approach with restaurants and shops, with the train stations a little further away. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, the private outdoor onsen was great and the staff are welcoming.
