Beachfront Location: Whisky Point Resort in Arugam Bay offers a private beach area and direct beachfront access. Guests enjoy sea views and a serene garden setting. This is PARADISE! exactly like I have seen it described in books. Everything is just created to make you not want to ever leave ❤️ me and my fiancé had such a great experience here. When we have arrived, we had a bad cold, and everyone has mobilized to make us feel better: pills, teas, all kinds of ayurvedic medicines were given to us to make us feel better. I felt like we were at our parents homes, and they're going above and beyond to make us feel better. Rooms: we got an upgrade to a room with bathroom and, even though we paid for the lower one, we were offered for free the upper one - very nice gesture 👍 we never slept better - ocean sound and breeze, there is a balcony for each cabana. Super clean, great design, bathrooms are big. Lovely :) The food: Italian base, I had the best pizza ever. Also, we love soup, so their chicken soup is perfect. Staff: amazing. Also, the owners are very fun and welcoming, it was a pleasure to meet them. Activities: the complex is at the ocean front. So we bathed and sun bathed, the weather was amazing. Also, you can learn how to surf, get a massage, play board games, go to safari, go into the lagoon on the beach or by boat, tuktuk to PottuVill, which is much better than Arugam Bay, being more local. I don't have enough good words for this accomodation. I am now looking at options to come back in Jan-Feb and stay for longer than 3 days 😄

The Spice Trail has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a restaurant and bar in Arugam Bay. It was very tranquil, and set back from the road. Rooms were really big, and pool area was beautiful. Staff were amazing.

Their energy and kindness made our stay. Furthermore the place is great. It’s beautiful and quiet, the food is good and the atmosphere very relaxed. Would 100% recommend this. Again, the staff is the best!
