Tamasha is a gem of a hostel. It has a beautiful terrace where you can chill out and watch amazing sunsets over the lake. Pragya and her sister Pooja were so welcoming and helpful and even upgraded me to a bigger room, free of charge, for my final two nights - so kind. I found it to be a really social hostel and met many other travelers during my stay.

Everything was nice and the owner is very kind and attentive. The room was very dirty at my arrival, but I told them and they sent someone to clean it. Owner’s mother cooks delicious meals that you can order and eat in the terrace.

Burj Baneria, situated on a hill, is the awesomest location to stay in whole of Udaipur (and we have stayed in some of the best locations that Udaipur has to offer). The views of the lake and the mountains from all the rooms are just scintillating, nay heavenly. Shimmering Pichola lake during sunrise and sunset, undulating multi layers of hills, chirping birds, and whole of lakefront city-lights in the night are simply an amazing experience - that too right from our room. The rooftop terrace cum restaurant is another fantastic experience. To top it, the young husband-wife duo hosts are just wonderful. The staff is polite and always ready to help. The rooms are comfortable. Like Taj Lake Palace, Burj Baneria is a must have stay experience at Udaipur.

This lovely hotel is a peaceful retreat in the heart of old Udaipur. There are many remarkable features of the Neem Tree: the spacious rooms, the delicious breakfast, the relaxing swimming pool; but what our family appreciated the most was the helpful advice. From restaurant recommendations, to a tailor to fix a ripped knapsack, the team at The Neem Tree was excellent. If you ask them to help arrange transportation, getting to their hotel in the old city is easy. We stayed four days at The Neem Tree but wish we could have stayed much longer. An exceptional experience!

Peaceful evironment with quality heritage accommodations. Incredible meals and extremely helpful staff. The facility is beautiful and well maintained with wonderful views. Great place to relax and take long walks away from the bustle of the city, but close enough that you can take a taxi in to see the sights when you like. Our bedroom was large, very clean, and had great views of the landscape. Birds chirping outside our window and peacocks walking around. Fresh drinking water for tea/coffee provided any time we wanted it. The personal service extended also to when we needed to request a very late check-out due to the bus schedule. They were also so helpful with arranging transportation to the bus departure location as well. You should come here now. Once its excellent reputation becomes more widely known, it will be completely booked out. Highly recommend everything about this lovely heritage home.

This wonderful, clean and freshly renovated guesthouse was the perfect place to stay in Udaipur. I really liked everything about this beautiful hotel! The location was walkable to the river and all sights, The owner and family were warm and helpful, The room was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, also the most comfortable bed I slept in my entire stay in India I had to stay an extra night! The building itself is so beautiful you could walk around the floors and take artful pictures of the details, the rooftop was a scenic and beautiful space as well. I felt safe and secure as a solo female traveler. I highly recommend this beautiful Oasis in Old Town Udaipur.

Very clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The morning tour was also a gem. We spent some time at the rooftop and enjoyed the lake view and peaceful atmosphere, and that was amazing. Located in a deep street but very convenient to get to the tourist spots by walk. It'll be my top choice if I come back to Udaipur. And it might happen because it's my favorite city on my trip.

The location was perfect! The rooms were huge and very clean. We booked all three rooms for our group. The room on the third level had an amazing terrace overlooking the lake. Perfect for a predinner drink to watch the sunset. Despite being a relatively modern building, it had a lot of charm, with heritage features. We found the staff very helpful. When some of us were unwell Jessu was concerned and offered good advice about what to eat and what to avoid.
