Set in the village of L’Aldea, the 19th-century Mas Masdeu is 5 km from Amposta in the Ebro Delta Nature Reserve. Rustic air-conditioned rooms offer garden views and some have disability access. I arrived late from Barcelona and the gracious hosts offered me a homecooked dinner iand a bottle of local wine in the cozy dining room decorated with some kind of gigantic olive or grape press. Room spacious, high ceiling, warm inside, modern furnished bathroom, quite posh actually, did not expect to be so nice. Also they helped me communicate with my car rental company for them to drop of my car, which I appreciated because I don't speak Spanish.

Hotel Restaurant Casa Ceremines is set in a 16th-century building in Xerta, 15 minutes’ drive from Tortosa. It features an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and impressive Modernist entrance hall. The breakfast was very good with lots of variety. Your eggs were made to order. My room was very comfortable and spacious with a small refrigerator stocked with beverages and snacks. Very large bathroom with a tub shower combo. Great air conditioning.

Senor Jordi and Senora Antonia gave us a warm welcome and lots of tips on what to see in the region. they served us a delicious breakfast every morning with tomato bread, meats, cheeses, fruit, fresh orange juice, delicious pastries and coffee! absolutely wonderful!
