Villas in Melres

Absolutely wonderful location and scenery. Full fenced, secluded and quiet place overlooking the Douro river, with private gardens, and swimming pool. Miguel kindly prepared everything needed before our arrival and helped us plan our days, places to visit, cruise on the river.

The spacious garden makes you feel instantly home. The kitchen is big and well equipped.

We had a wonderful stay by the River Douro. The property was exactly in the location we had agreed upon, and the view truly exceeded our expectations — even better than what we had seen in the photos. The home itself was as good as, if not better than, the listing. While it’s not positioned as a luxury stay, in my wife’s and my opinion it was absolutely worth every penny. Everything was spotless — genuinely squeaky clean — which made a big difference. The hosts were outstanding. Communication was prompt and helpful, especially when we had a couple of small questions about entering the property — everything was quickly resolved over the phone. Honestly, we could have stayed somewhere much more expensive and not had such a positive overall experience. Many thanks to the host, and congratulations on a fantastic property. We would highly recommend it to other visitors.

A very cozy place to relax. I was impressed with the number of good restaurant options within a 10 min drive, including one by foot. Host was extremely responsive. All facilities were pristine. All rooms had A/C (heat/cool), including the living room. all in all, we enjoyed very much the stay and would definitely return

Stunning area. Great house, pool was such a welcome treat after long days of walking. Locals are so so friendly and helpful. It is like the Amalfi coast. We will be back.
